The different 'outfits' represent her different era's. :) The white canvas and dress represent Born This Way, the blue one with blonde wig represents The Fame, the yellow wig represents The Fame Monster and the seashells represent ARTPOP. She added in the booing because of all the hate she got with Born This Way. So she opened the ARTPOP era by really tuning into it by adding the booing. She also released a promo video that said "LADY GAGA IS OVER". It was so cool how she went with it!
how is the white and black canvas for born this way? it's from the applause mv, and it's much more deep than just that, it's an statement about the kind of art that she does in pop culture, she starts dressed like a blank canvas, signifying that she as a person is a canvas that she paints with fashion, the live transformation into wigs and outfits of her present and past eras is to say that her fashion is part of her artistry too and it's conjuncted with her music, it's like theater and opera, every part of the performance is art directed, her life is performance art, yet people so often reduce her contributions in pop culture as "antics", "publicity stunts" and paint her as an attention whore, yet every time you see her in a headline is because of her artistry and not the meaningless futility and decadence of celebrity gossip that almost every pop star knowingly fuel and thrives off.
I actually love the fact this performance is still discussed 10 years after it happened. Showing that it is pure art

Pretty sure she heard the audience boo one direction when they won their award, she found it awful and decided last minute to add booing at the beginning of her performance. There's footage of her backstage talking to them and telling them they're great and to not like, let that sh get to them.

Every performance had a rehearsal and preparation, son this audio was added so many days before and was on purpose for the theme of the song

So happy to see you back on UA-cam! Idk How familiar you are with Eurovision song contest but I feel like it’s my duty as a swede to tell you about Loreen and the song she’s competing with this year. She hasn’t even qualified yet but the odds are already in her favor. She won ESC in 2012 with her amazing song ”Euphoria” and is back with the masterpiece ”Tattoo” this year. Both are worth checking out!

2013 VMA's were pretty wacky you had this opening the show then that was also the year everyone was talking about Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke's performance. So Many costume changes. The Rap Battles were funny, I laughed at how they worked some of it in like 'Amblin' haha. and Michael Bay needed some more 'Splosions. Haha.
So when are you gonna rewatch ET and give it another chance 😂
