In my domestic setting I have a similar conundrum, do I use a 10g dose and 180mls water in the Aeropress or the 15g dose in the Hario V1 with a 250ml pour. Similar "product" saving. For a given bean the grind is the same but I will tweak sometimes just to see if it makes a detectable difference, even with an Aesir paper in the Aeropress the Hario has a greater both visual and taste clarity but as I sometimes add a splash of milk the Aeropress is "better" for that but may be subjective. I really don't think my palate is up to discriminating that's where I need an upgrade 😂
With prices on the up that 5g saving per cup soon mounts up! I would agree with you that the Hario produces a cleaner coffee and again that the Aeropress works best with milk. Your palate can’t be too far off 😁
Could I use 16g in a 18g VST basket? I’m also using a puck screen
Which will be stronger in a milk drink?

Shouldn't the time be ratioed as well i.e. 16/18*25sec ?
Brew time remains consistent regardless of dose
@@carvetiicoffeeNo it doesn’t. That doesn’t make sense. More coffee requires more time to extract
