- In this episode I show how easy it is to make some seriously hard to find rare trim pieces for your Gbody. I made these pieces for my Monte Carlo in a weekend and the stainless trim turned out absolutely AWESOME! I hope this brings some value to any g body lover/owner out there in the youtube land!
How to Make Your Own Stainless Gbody Trim!
The trim looks great......you definitely need to do the rest now.
Thanks Corey, I would love to. But dont have that much spare time these days. Maybe in the winter I'll revisit the Monte
Looks great. I would machine turn half over the previous turn then offset half turn over and half up to do next row. Tape parts together so the pattern matches all the way across. Nice job!
Man she came out nice homie
Thanks brother
great idea and looks good on there. Stainless is hard to polish, you need a more aggressive rope pad/wheel if you want the chrome look. 👍
Nice! I have some hi polished stainless sheets my old boss gave me. Definitely good for custom trim or anything fancy.
Great fun to play with. I had some high polished stuff years ago (leftover pcs from a ford truck trim kit). I made some headlight shields out of it for my Chevette at the time.
Those really finnished the car 😍
Yessir! Thanks for watching 🙂
I definitely need some

Great! Love your videos 🦾
Thanks for watching Jbart! 😁
I think if you had a metal break you could put a similar line in the lower trim cutouts. Maybe just faintly bend a strait line in it after you cut it out then line it up and mark where the bend needs to match up at but either way it looks decent.
Ive thought of that. I think the best method would be to have a negative jig set up and hammer it into the plate. But for a quick and easy solution I think I hit the mark.
Sounded like "garagesourus" a highly modified ferarri 🤷🏼♂️
Dope vid after dope vid. Glad I subscribed. That sound effect is most definitely some wicked rotary engine... jk I have no idea
Thanks so much man! Glad you get some value out of my content. Ill keep on doin what I do 😎
Looks better than OG.. Now you gotta make and turn all the rest of the trim.. LOL.

Nice accents! Sounds like a fartcan muffler in a tunnel or under a bridge
Thanks for watching, Craig!
Sound effect will be revealed in the next episode! Stay tuned 😎👍
Could you stick on a little piece to match the trim line? Might look ok.. Good video..
Thats an option. probably better off making a jig to hammer the shape into the plate steel. Thanks for watching!
Dodge charger racing the engine
Is the sfx a newer Camaro ss reving in a tunnel?
Sound effect will be revealed in the next episode! Stay tuned 😎👍

Sound effect will be revealed in the next episode! Stay tuned 😎👍
Really need a set of the chrome trim that sits right underneath the trunk lid. Any idea of where i can find them online or anything?
No clue. I was going to make some for my car.... if you know a guy with a metal brake cut some stainless and bend into shape!
@@SlickWorks Damn man I’ve been looking everywhere for them and can’t seem to find them anywhere. Well thanks man have a good one
How much for a set I have an 83 cl
Im honestly too busy to make them right now. Two questions: where do you live and how much would you expect to pay for a set like that?
Wat would you charges for those pieces
Thats a good question! Probably like 160CAN for the bumper top pieces, 180CAN for the four corner pieces, 140CAN for the rear bumper upright pcs.
@@SlickWorks how can I get in touch with you

Seems you're a "montecarlo" fan...
true words
Can you make windows trims???????
I can make flat stainless pieces that can be bonded onto the car to closely match window trims, but not the trims themselves, no.
You got that knowledge you don’t get in college 👍🏼
Hahaha cheers. I did go to college actually. Im a Red Seal Automotive Collision Repair Technician. Top marks every year! But I did drop out of highschool in grade 10 cuz I was miserable there hahaha
