Oh my goodness!!!!! You sound so much like me! Lifelong learner...photographer...memorykeeper...needleworker...fiber arts...papercrafting...writing/journaling...plan to pick up blogging again...and I retired yesterday! I don't think I've ever been bored! But it's time to get back to my crosstitch (while trying to not sit so much ~~ hmm, a quandary). So glad to see others like me!!! Now, if I could just tackle that waterfall you did several years ago in DD. I've tried three times and it was a bust.
❤will stay for all the things; yes, wanna see it all: the pies, the crochet, the photography, the memory keeping and even the stickers. Have an amazing year Amy! Just have fun with it all!
Amy, I’m all in for all the things you put on your “craft tube”!! Your interests align with mine and the fiber arts have been a part of me for a very long time, too. Your enthusiasm is catchy so please share whenever and whatever you want (but I must admit I will be really sad if you don’t do a DD 2023.) Thanks for inspiring us all, always🤩.
Joni thank you! you're so sweet. I likely will but I just don't know for sure. I sort of want to experience Christmas without it. It's been 9 years. Crazy.
I will be watching the craft tubes for sure! I could listen to you all day! So interesting! I used to cross stitch and your enthusiasm is getting me interested again! Thank you for sharing!
Great video Amy, I would love to see all of your projects. I’ve been following you on social media for a while, and I think you put out some of the best videos on this platform. I have watched and rewatched your PL vids, and your tutorials have been so helpful! I have recently tried my hand at cross stitch so I would appreciate some tutorials on following patterns etc, and am thinking of purchasing a silhouette machine, I have a Cricut which I love. All the best for a happy and healthy 2023, enjoy beIng an empty nester and taking time for you.
Oh my gosh, I can so relate to everything you were talking about! I flip-flop from project project and have all the stuff from all the projects I’ve done in the past. Space is an issue, but you go! I would love to hear all about the different things that you do! Thanks so much for posting this video. Can’t believe it took me so long to watch it!
Yes along for the ride!! I too am an unapologetic multi-crafter. ⚡️⚡️ Maybe using “playlist” on UA-cam for each category you are diving into- but I am here for all your crafty magic. As always, thank you for all the sharing ♥️
I’m here for all the crafty things. Your nativity is the reason I started cross stitching again! I would love to learn how you do the brush lettering (print lettering?) that you do in your journals. ❤ thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you for sharing your plans for this year. I’m totally here for it all. I like to dabble in a lot of things and definitely have more than one crafty hobby too. So a crafttube with all the things you’re into sounds great! And btw, you’ll master the underarms of that (absolutely gorgeous) sweater. I know that part seems intimidating at first, but it’s not rocket science. 😉 Can’t wait to see the finished piece!
Hey Amy! Definitly want to see more of your Hobonichi Journal and of course Project Life. Your first Hobonichi Video made me buy one, and i love it!! I did it daily, and that really had an positv inpact on my life! So thank you for that!!
I picked my cross-stitch back up as part of the #100dayproject. I fell in love all over again. I have completed two Christmas stockings and half way through the third one and now I started Snowmen, digging into my stash of snowman patterns that are 20+ years old! I would love to see you on flosstube (which I just learned about last week) and I would love love to see more!
Thanks so much Traci. Love that you've gotten back into it. I love the community so much and you can go down a rabbit hole with the flosstubes. so fun. Doing it for 100 days project is a great idea!
Ooooh yes I'm very interested in craftubes! Or all of your ideas in fact. I'm a lot like you and I love to start a new craft. I try not to buy all the things as I don't have the space (or the means!!) to do that, but it's hard when you feel super enthusiastic about something 😍
Wow! You really are a Jack of all trades!!! I would be interested in just about everything you talked about! And its so cool you can knit! I always wanted to learn but never tried.
Love this so much Amy!! So happy to see you following this dream on here and your enthusiasm for everything. I had so many thoughts during the video but I didn’t write them down during, ha. I like a lot of the same crafts as you and also love learning new things, so it’s fun to watch what you’re doing next. Next time we’re on zoom we need to share our ongoing cross-stitch projects! I haven’t touched mine in awhile, but it’s very ambitious… I’ve been working on it for years… will probably take another decade, at least, ha. I’d love to see yours as they progress and chat about it. Also can you please share what was wrong with your arm after the rafting trip? You said that it got you into crochet, but then never explained what was actually wrong! I’m always here if you want to bounce ideas around or just chat and I can’t wait to see what you do next!!
Linda I'd love to see your cross stitch for sure. Apparently nothing is wrong with my arm. They think it was stress. It hasn't come back since. So weird.
Please a giant yes for making cards, especially if not a an advertisement for product. I think you mentioned a couple of card making kits? Which is great- I am going small (6x8) this year for project life. If I could hang out of line at a specific time and day then I can set an intention to participate.
Hello Amy! Happy new year to you and your loved ones. 😃 It is great to watch a new and long video on your channel. I love your plans for 2023 and I am excited to see your projects, thoughts & results in the next months. I would love to see how you create your Project Life designs from the last years since I am also in the middle of working through older years. It would be great to hear and see how you manage documenting older stuff. It‘s wonderful to learn and being inspired by you. Thank you so much! 😘
I have a video on my channel called story journal that shares how I make notes daily so I can have a reference when I'm going back to work on older PL. I now use my hobonichi for this, but hopefully it will answer a lot of questions
I loved this video!! I love to learn and love a bunch of different crafts. I would love to learn more cross-stitch…. Thanks to you. When you shared it in your DD I just thought it was so good. I really love the mini Santas and want to try those. I am also a knitter and have big knitting plans for this year. I’ve been knitting National Park hats & love them. Look forward to all you share!
I’m so excited to see your fiber craft videos. For the folk art flowers, did you use linen? I taught myself to knit a few years ago but only got to squares and rectangles. I would love to branch out. I totally get the fix factor if a mistake is made. I guess it’s part of the process. Good luck with your projects. So cool to see the joy you get from these projects. Thanks for the links.
Love your enthusiasm in this video! So many of us are multi-crafters, myself included. I look forward to hearing about whatever you are into at the moment!
Happy New Year! Amy I’m really up for pretty much anything you do. I have really liked your journal/planner videos and thanks for helping me with my foil quill! I love to learn but it’s a difficult slow process for me (ADHD). You explain things very well and I can always replay til I get it. I have tons of craft/hobby projects always on the go. One I haven’t picked up in awhile is beaded cross-stitch. I did a salmon on my fly fishing vest decades ago and still love it (not fishing anymore though). Go for it with Craftube!
Here for it ❤ love it all. Look forward to this journey. So many ideas but I’ll have to think. I’d love to see papercrafting and organizing. But I’m interested in all the things. Maybe there’s a craft together. Could we work on a project together? Could be fun.
Oh Amy, have you been to the shop Shepherds Bush in Ogden? I have stitched a lot of their projects over the years, especially their stocking patterns (finished up the ninth one now). Beautiful, delicate, just gorgeous patterns.
I just LOVE the flower cross stitch you showed in the large frame. Could you possibly tell me where you got the pattern? I would love to make this - i find cross stitching very therapeutic. Love watching your journal and planner videos too - I binge watched all your DD videos as this was the first year I did one too. Thanks so much for your constant inspiration :D
excited for your channel plans! I always love learning from you! I would love if you shared a video on cutting vinyl - it's something I've never tried on my silhouette portrait (not even sure if I can, how to tell? haha) and how to transfer to different surfaces such as acetate, etc. it's such a cool technique I've seen others do but feels very advanced :) I almost bought the foil quill last week after all your videos, but again just wasn't sure if it would work with my model, not sure if the model matters or if it's just the software (silhouette portrait bought in early 2017)
The foil quill should work no problem with your machine, but the magnetic mat I sometimes use won't. You just need to be able to sketch and if you can do that then you're good to go.
Hi Amy, I’ve missed you! Looking forward to your videos. Where are you living now? I grew up in Mount Olympus and wondered if you moved back there after living in Seattle? I would like to know how you scan your photos. I have many photos that I need to scan from my childhood. Thank you !
Loved it 😍 I really love the santa with tree on the paper that you stitched. Is it special paper or did you make it yourself? Hopefully you share your DD 22 soon looking forward to it ❤😊
Would love to see your technical videos. And if you're up too learning, I'm starting to use Canva for hybrid scrapbooking. Would love to learn more ways to use it.
