I always enjoy the music you post Yvon. I especially love the violin. When I was a kid I grew up with New Year's Day in Inglis Manitoba and Joe Flamond my dad's uncle playing the violin. They would Square dance all day and eat. My grandfather use to play violin a little too and many of my grandfather's ancester's still play the violin today. The violin is what our culture is all about. It is wonderful that you are keeping it a live. Thank you for all the postings and thank you to all the Metis Musicians who contribute their music and style too. Awesome work everyone. Keep it coming!
When I was a kid in The Pas in the early 70s people would come over to our house with fiddles, guitars, the spoons and a great singer/s, what great memories I have of those days. Oh yeah, and the jigging.
