Chris, I do not call it rambling, I call it educating us on all the key points of your craftsmanship. I also love it that you are not afraid to explain any mistakes you made. Excellent video!
I like your no nonsense OCD, most of us watch you for entertainment. This shop is going to look wicked with the black accents. I'm glad you're doing it up your way and taking your time. You're and inspiration Chris.
You are one of the best you tube channels. I look forward to seeing your videos You are down to earth and not arrogant. You are extremely organized and your video editing is spot on. Thank you.
Chris. The inside of the garage would definitely look better if it were white. Did you think about sheet rocking the walls? Also. I really enjoy how you hire companies to do the jobs but you find ways to do the job way better and the right way. You are a truly talented guy. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I would suggest covering the gray up with all of the stuff you believe in, with merch flyers and the like. One of the things that attracted me to your channel is the support you give to other UA-camrs you dig. You Rock brother! 😊
Hey Chris, never apologize for a lot of talking. That's how we learn. I've learned so much from your channel except I know the real mastermind of your channel is Gus. This was really informative. I am so glad I watched this.
I love the new garage, and you really deserved to have an adequate space to support your hobby and content. I just purchased my home shop last November, and I wish I had a few of the design features you incorporated in your build. Fortunately, /Unfortunately, my shop came along with the house and property I purchased, and the previous owner wasn't a "handy guy..." However, I have over 2k sqft to support my projects and UA-cam content, so I'm very pleased and blessed!!
Hey Chris, Good choice on the Fujitsu. I've had mine for 10 yrs. now with NO problems. It's nice in the winter, it will maintain 50 degrees so you wont get any rust on your tools. If I plan on working in my shop I just go in a hour early and turn the heat up. Love the Fujitsu!!!
Garage looks amazing Chris, good thinking with colour as it will hide the dirt, amazing how much better the backyard has changed from how it used it be, asphalt is great job👍🇮🇪
All worth sealing it up that much...the more you take care now where you have easy access, the better it serves you in the long run! I like the idea of the sealed floor, we all know how messy it can get in a shop, so why not taking measurements beforehand... Thx for showing! 👍👍👍
A suggestion I put new led lights in my garage . I decided to put them up on a angle in the corner of the side walls at the ceiling & wow is all I can say really bright .
Not a Saturday without the Guss man. Thanks for going into detail on the new build. I will eventually be doing mine and I have ideas and expectations now. so helpful
NIce Job Chris. How about running speaker wire to all four corners before you fill your garage up. That way you can have you a nice surround sound and whistle while you work when you're listening to your favorite music. sounds like it's pretty acoustically sound.👍
Totally interested in every aspect of the garage rebuild. What a huge improvement over the old garage and it will surely be nice and toasty in there when the snow is flying and the cold winter winds are blowing. Love the channels Chris
I’m the same way you are Chris and it’s got to be my way or if it’s not I’ll fix it. One cool thing you could think about is Armstrong Black and White floor tiles in a checkerboard that would last forever and brighten the garage up and make it look cleaner. It’s suggestion from a old man.
You are doing a great job mitigating the issues as they come up. I have to say I am surprised at some of them, they are straight up safety problems. I am taking notes because I want to have a shop built in my backyard eventually. Very informative, we all appreciate this!
The new shop is coming along nicely, I have to agree with Jen about the gray walls though. If it was mine I would paint at least the back wall white to reflect more light. When I built my shop I used osb on the walls and I was in such a hurry to get finished I didn't paint the walls and now that they're covered with stuff it will be too much work to do it now and a regret it. Never been a fan of spray foam insulation as a finished wall, just reminds me of the inside of a cooler. Keep up the good work. 👍
Not trying to stir the pot are get myself blasted. But......I see VGG is doing a boat video now 😅😂. Great video, Chris, glad you are getting things the way you want them.
Chris as to lighting you can get a water base dry fall paint in either a white, a pastel grey or a silver. You could do a standard dado or just above the wall headers. It'll really brighten it up. I sprayed many shops and foundry with this eggshell product. Sherwin W. Makes one. A simple blow down w/ an air line worked great. 1.4 mil plastic on the floor.
Gus is so cute! Great job with the garage Mr. Ocd. Better to do it right now before it gets full of stuff. An idea for you. Why not put up some peg board on some of them walls. Not sure how big sheets they come in. But would dull out some of that Grey. Or you could use paneling. With the back side showing. Unless you like the look of paneling. Lol. Just a couple ideas. Good catch on that garage door. Can't believe they suspended those hangers with a lag bolt from underneath. That's insane. That definitely would've fell out with time. Good call on doing it right.
you can buy pvc sound panels to hang in the roof area. that will significantly reduce the echo without getting in the way. white panels can help brighten the room but be brought down and hosed off when dirty.
They said we could fill the garage with water and it wouldn't leak, "We're gonna test that!" Lol maybe on Whistling Diesel... Great video, lovin the updates, keep them coming!
I didn’t hear any rambling. I really enjoy your videos. One of the hardest working UA-camr on the net. I like when you are working you explain how and what you’re doing. Thanks for sharing.
Not sure why I punish myself watching videos of people building their perfect shop when I only have room for a bird bath in my yard maybe because I'm a dreamer and hope one day to get to build my own one with all the knowledge I've gathered either way looking super cool man I can only imagine how excited you are to get the ramp in and get your back off the dirt and out of the rain
I love the garage! It’s amazing! Looking forward to seeing the lift inside! Absolute dream setup! Thanks for sharing the process. There are so many contractors that don’t do good work and it helps a lot to be knowledgeable so you don’t get taken advantage of too bad.
Awesome setup and great updates to keep ya cool in the summer and warm in the winter..looking forward to ya wrenching away soon. Appreciate you sharing the update😊🛠️🇺🇸🔧🛻🚗🚜
I don’t think the grey will show dirt as bad Chris, shop looks great brother! It’s going to be nice to see you working in your new shop, all that space will be great for you my friend! It’s going to be especially nice during the winters y’all have up there brother! We don’t have the winters like there, I actually thought y’all didn’t have humidity there! That’s surprising to me! Down here in Louisiana, our humidity is like thick can’t breathe soup brother! Thanks for sharing Chris, I always enjoy you explaining everything my friend! Just watched Jen’s video and I love the boat too! Your friend kirk from Louisiana, sending prayers and good vibes to you and your family Chris! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great job... attention to detail!!.. watching and listening to you about this has helped me learn A LOT.. and I appreciate it tremendously.. I really do.. Thanks! CHEERS!!
Chris you can buy some premade sound absorbing panel which hang up high to control the reverberation. We have speced them for vehicle shops and aircraft hangars. There is information on line about reverberation control on line. The panels can go on the walls and can be light colored to help the lighting. Finally in military hangars we paint the floor white with epoxy paint to increase lighting reflection
Grey! Well look at it this way, it now looks like a proper man cave 😂 and if you do any welding, the matt surface isn't going to reflect the UV light around the shop and i agree with the no need for cleaning idea 100%.
you need a small fan and some modest rgb strips, if you sync the mini split to the outside temp to some extent you will be able to avoid some of the condensation? consider some small vents on gable ends and also down lo with slid-able flanges and then you can forego some of the temp diff and provide some air flow - maybe consider a big work table with a couple monitors and a cheap tv on the wall, you need a stereo system - it will all come together as you move back in
That’s looks really great. It will be so nice to be able to do any type of work you wanna do inside your garage, no matter what the temperature is outside!
Yeah dude you’re never rambling your explanations are very interesting in every video so please don’t ever apologize. Btw this is the best garage build I’ve ever seen holy moly
I used reclaimed brick from a demoed building for a recent farm road. Had a culvert over flow during a major rain event and thousands of gallons of water flowed against and over that brick and gravel road without damaging the road bed at all. Very impressed with how the brick packed. I was worried about the empty space, but the unsifted gravel filled it in perfect.
CHRIS I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOUR SHOP COMING ALONG SO DAMN NICE!! WOULD IT LOOK NICE IF IT WERE WHITE INSIDE,OF COURSE. BUT I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT THE GREY HIDING THE DUST AND STUFF. JUUST SPRAYING THE CEILING A BRIGHT WHITE WOULD ALONE REALLY MAKE IT BRIGHTER INSIDE,IMO. YOURS AND JENNS CHANNELS ARE MY FAVORITES TO WATCH. CANT WAIT FOR YALLS NEW EPISODES. TAKE CARE AND ROCK ON FROM A FAN IN TEXAS!!!
I would put plywood all around 8 foot high, paint it white and you have unlimited hanging mounting and organization options. Did this in my trailer and I love the ease and flexibility. Love having all my tools within reach and visible.
Your building looks real good Chris. Even though I completely understand the Grey paint on the inside , I am with Jen on that one. It definitely made the inside very dark. But awesome job !👍
Chris, I do not call it rambling, I call it educating us on all the key points of your craftsmanship. I also love it that you are not afraid to explain any mistakes you made. Excellent video!
What I was going to say exactly!
I don't know exectly why, but,
This channel is different and better in some way
Hey you folks whatch mustie1 too?
I like your no nonsense OCD, most of us watch you for entertainment.
This shop is going to look wicked with the black accents. I'm glad you're doing it up your way and taking your time.
You're and inspiration Chris.
Love these in-detail videos. I am constantly surprised and impressed by how thorough you are in everything you do. A pleasure to watch as always!
Same here
You are one of the best you tube channels. I look forward to seeing your videos You are down to earth and not arrogant. You are extremely organized and your video editing is spot on. Thank you.

Mr Chris, Your new shop looks really nice, your showing some fine details. I do not blame you on these extra steps to get your shop just right!!
I would suggest covering the gray up with all of the stuff you believe in, with merch flyers and the like. One of the things that attracted me to your channel is the support you give to other UA-camrs you dig. You Rock brother! 😊
You might say it was a long video. But I like it when you explain everything. Keep up the great work

Wow just realized your second channel has half a million subs. That’s awesome congrats!
That closed cell insulation is very flammable. It's a good thing they sprayed the gray stuff over it.
Your videos arealwys interesting nd educational. Jens are charming too and funny. You bith do great work I appreciate you both.
Awesome! Yeah they had really good reviews and my buddy who works in HVAC recommended them. So far it's working great!
CHRIS LOOKS GREAT !!!!! YOU KNOW ALOT ,,VERT SMART GUY..AND CARING TO OTHERS.. PEACE!!
Garage looks amazing Chris, good thinking with colour as it will hide the dirt, amazing how much better the backyard has changed from how it used it be, asphalt is great job👍🇮🇪
That garage turned out awesome! We'll deserved.
All worth sealing it up that much...the more you take care now where you have easy access, the better it serves you in the long run!

"Bat Cave". Just finished watching Jens video. Nice looking shop
Ramble on brother!!! Great information density!!!
The attention to details now pays off later, Thanks for sharing.
Not a Saturday without the Guss man. Thanks for going into detail on the new build. I will eventually be doing mine and I have ideas and expectations now. so helpful

That new garage look great,
I know your pleased with the results,

Yea, looks good.
Nice update.
Looks awesome Chris, very happy for you.

1.4 mil plastic on the floor.
You are a perfectionist.....love it !!!
If you ever add an opener look at the liftmaster 8500. I just put one on my shop door and it's super quiet
Thanks for the tip. For now I don't think I need one but I'll check them out in the future if I do
3:50 The Buddha picture looks great there!
Thanks for the update on the garage. It seems that you have paid attention to all of the minor details. Great job!
Great details without nonsense.👍
Well done Chris
Gus is so cute! Great job with the garage Mr. Ocd. Better to do it right now before it gets full of stuff. An idea for you. Why not put up some peg board on some of them walls. I didn’t hear any rambling. I really enjoy your videos. One of the hardest working UA-camr on the net. I like when you are working you explain how and what you’re doing. Thanks for sharing.
The entire plan is excellent. That’s a first class building. Congratulations!

You deserve it
Love the attention to detail that's a very nice shop. Great job, chris!!!
Thumbs up 👍 thank you for the update. And Jen and you did great getting the boat going for the 4th.
Garage looks awesome! I would for sure spray the walls white. Doesn't look as bright now that it's gray.
I love the garage! It’s amazing! Looking forward to seeing the lift inside! Absolute dream setup! Thanks for sharing the process. There are so many contractors that don’t do good work and it helps a lot to be knowledgeable so you don’t get taken advantage of too bad.
Congratulations on the new shop! Mine was finished up in May. Like you I'm trying to get the finishing touches done before moving in. Exciting!
For how cluttered your old shop was, you are a VERY detail oriented person and it’s a joy to watch to be honest.
I actually thought his old shop was VERY well organized. 🤷🏻♂️
One Very Fine Quality Oversight! Well Done!
Great garage shop. There is no substitute for doing it right and quality. Onward!
Looks great Chris - you’re very detail oriented . . . great work!!
Thanks Chris
Awesome setup and great updates to keep ya cool in the summer and warm in the winter..looking forward to ya wrenching away soon. Appreciate you sharing the update😊🛠️🇺🇸🔧🛻🚗🚜
Looks great Chris, need to run ya a surround sound system in there next, hang ya a big screen tv.
I don’t think the grey will show dirt as bad Chris, shop looks great brother! It’s going to be nice to see you working in your new shop, all that space will be great for you my friend! Good for you. Glad to see it's coming together for you😊
I always learn something from your videos, no apologies necessary!

The shop looks great. The gray will hide dirt and dust, good choice. Keep up the great work and the cool videos 👍👍🇺🇲
Great upgrade
Good tips. Stay safe.

Like your eye for details...no ocd..pround owner of a new shop yes!
Nice workspace! You’ll see all your attention to detail will pay off.
Great job Chris. Really looks nice. Lol that little Gus man is just pure adorable. Keep videos coming. Thanks.
"What made you go with Grey?" 😂 I know you're glad to get it finished. Looking forward to seeing you work in their.
Good information, thank you!
I used reclaimed brick from a demoed building for a recent farm road. I think the attention to detail is awesome! What a fantastic shop you have built, great stuff thanks for the video.
Thank you garage is great nice job you are getting done, the drains and black top pretty nice work ,you seem to have the magic touch good eye Chris
Awesome job!
Turning out great! Not to worry about the grey as you will probably be hanging up signs and what not. What a change from your old garage.
CHRIS I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOUR SHOP COMING ALONG SO DAMN NICE!! WOULD IT LOOK NICE IF IT WERE WHITE INSIDE,OF COURSE. BUT I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT THE GREY HIDING THE DUST AND STUFF. That shop is gonna be awesome! I need one!
I would put plywood all around 8 foot high, paint it white and you have unlimited hanging mounting and organization options. Did this in my trailer and I love the ease and flexibility. Love having all my tools within reach and visible.
Honestly I've been considering doing that! Probably a good move
Your building looks real good Chris. Even though I completely understand the Grey paint on the inside , I am with Jen on that one. It definitely made the inside very dark. But awesome job !👍
Hey Chris, you could always over spray just the ceiling white. Would give you some of the brightness back.
Im right behind ya on my shop Chris, supportive bleep boop
Looks great! I think reflecting some of the lights off the ceiling will improve light dispersion and help out the video quality.
The lights are so bright I feel the grey is fine. Before the lights were too bright on video. This calmed them down to just bright.
