Nice overview my friend. I still have my brushed version. Run that on 3s Everytime I run it. The truck handles and jumps great! I will go brushless like this one when the motor quits. It’s held up very well. Yours being brushless is definitely worth $130 you paid for it! Great job my friend!
I have this RC to a family member after a couple months of using and checking diffs . It’s very good imho . I got it after the cf Omni . Very very fast on 3s , like 50mph on my example . 2s is perfect . Rides wheelies , handles great . No probs for me . One time the steering turnbuckle popped off after ot was doing full speed on 3s in parking lot
Yep just picked one up bout a week ago bout 120.00 with coupon on Amazon same thing had to redo esc and went ahead put my radio link with a r6fg receiver Was still pretty impressed with the stock transmitter that is most definitely the weak point in the offerings from MJX that’s why I got rid of that crap transmitters that comes with them
For that price, it's hard to beat. You should check out Laegendary Thunder (the bigger one, they've 2 Thunder models) from my review, another gem I found on Amazon, I will have a "How to upgrade video" out soon.
Good question, it gets narrower by about 7mm overall. MJX tire is about 3mm thinner, compound is harder, thread pattern is excellent (exact copy from Arrma), that's why they are the best from my experience. I do wish they don't come pre-glued so that I can add duct tape inside
The loose components are an opportunity to add a gyro and reposition everything in balance. I put the ESC far forward to help avoid wheelies. Trencher 2.2 M2 are the only wheels/tires with a wider stance that I can find but even they are too grippy to avoid flips and rolls on pavement, even with droop screws installed. Hex extensions are all for cross-pin axles (not Rlaarlo’s keyed design) and 1/10 scale axle threads (4mm?) so that’s a big bummer. I’d love to know if another vehicle’s longer arms and axles could be fitted to this truck to get it more like the Haiboxing one, which is weak in all features except track width. Still this Rlaarlo brings a wheelie bar, swaybars, grown-up servo saver design, a full length battery tray, full-lock-strength brakes, and droop screws. A lot can be done to keep it planted at wide open throttle. Altho, I’ve had several fasteners strip, even using the Allen wrench Rlaarlo provides. An RC screw kit works but some of these 1/14 sizes are really small like 1.5-2mm threads. This is a pain point Rlaarlo need to address, as well as adding skids to the bodies and pin post protectors or at least replacements, since these things like to be upside down out of the box. Tached wheel speed on stock tires is 60mph. Any speed less than that is due to wind drag and tire/road friction, so there’s quite a lot of potential. After getting it low and slightly raked I mounted some 1/10 road car tires and after two 3s batteries they’re bald. Pretty sweet doing full-rpm AWD burnouts from a stop and having it stay straight as an arrow (due to the $10 gyro unit 😂) Also allows drifts and other Hoonicorn style stunts. Now if I could just get an ultra wide-body mustang lexan skin…
When it get to mods, you are right on. I would have just switch the receiver to X6FG, you can adjust gyro from the transmitter. Maybe I should do a video of my custom extension. I extended the diff shafts and swing arm holder to achieve the same stress level as stock😊
Ive been into RCs for a long time. And Rlaarlo is a legitimate new brand.
And yes this thing will ride a wheelie as long as you want to hold it there on 2s
Thanks for the info

I like this one due to the slipper clutch.😎
So true 👍. Just right in 2s even though it can handle 3s it’s not always the better option .
Absolutely

Do those MJX wheels widen the track vs the stock wheels?

@@customtoyrevolutionis duct tape to keep it from ballooning?
@@ordinary7sasha yes
What other vehicles share the same parts? Thanks
Wltoys and Rlaarlo 1/12 and 1/14 scale buggies all share the same platform. Not all parts are Interchangeable

Mjx hyper go is better this shit sucks I have one and it got so much problems and I don’t even be doing jumps or bashing
Drive shafts too skinny for this size truck
Truly a great deal. I have the brushed one and still love it! This on red should rip. They jump amazingly!
