The 2nd gen is here to stay, they had changed it to gen 1 on the updated dev server, but then it was proven it had 2nd gen FLIR (the FCS was upgraded). So it got it back. I mean the tank is literally newer than the SEPv1 as well, not sure if it borrowed the upgraded tech also from the SEPv1, I didn't read too much into it.
@@icy3-1 Ok some more info: the sight is the same sight as on the K1 Panthers (the Korean MBTs), albeit a more modern variant of it. Early K1s were equipped with a 120 element "GPTTS" sight made by Texas Instruments (now Raytheon, the defense part of it), marking it as a gen 1 sight. The 120S brochure lists two sights, a 240x4 or 480x4 version of the GPTTS (supposedly). Raytheon also marked the 240x4 sight as gen 2. You know, deep within I might suspect the 240x4 element sight is only gen 1 by WT standard. But I can not know since I do not know for sure what the total scanned array size is of the thermal sight. I mean if Raytheon says it's gen 2... whatever right? I am not going to complain...
