standards are great as long as they are the Lords standard and yes I have heard Bernard on why no facial hair but none of it is a Biblical standard and yes Jesus had a beard or they could not of plucked it out. We are to have moral standards and dress standards and man is to be a man and a women is to be a women . But the facial hair thing is silly and nothing to do with holiness at all.

Except a man be born again of WATER [= water baptism] and of the Spirit [=being filled with the Spirit of God, speaking in tongues comes with this infilling of the Holy Ghost]
Ben Gray you are correct in saying that Jesus said that to the thief on the cross. But that is only because the Holy Ghost was not yet given until after Jesus ascended into Heaven. Before the Holy Ghost was pored out during the Day of the Pentecost the only way ppl could be saved was through burnt offerings and all that went with that. But now today God himself can abide in our hearts. Speaking in tongues is the evidence that Jesus is in our hearts. The tongue is the most unruly member of the human body so when the heart is full and overflowing with Jesus Spirit it will overflow into the mouth. Aka speaking in tongues.
The one thing you don't want to do is wrestle with scripture. The way to live your life is not to push aside a scripture because you don't understand something. What am I saying?Acts 2:38 is in the Bible. John 3:1-8 is in the Bible. Mark 16:16, Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:4. 1 Peter 3:21 is in the Bible.So the real question, where are you getting your "belief" from when God's word says the opposite.Praying for you as I hope you do for me.
It is false to say you are not saved until you speak in tongues. As a sinner, The Holy Ghost (Spirit of the Father) draws you to repentance, when you repent the Spirit comes and baptizes you into the body of Christ, then we are commanded to be baptized in water. We are not saved by that water but that is our outward testimony to illustrate the change that has happened on the inside. Speaking in tongues is not a sign that you are saved it is a proof that you have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. If we were denied Heaven because we have not spoke with tongues then the blood would be deemed insufficient for salvation. God will not put his Son's blood in hell. This is a damnable heresy preached by this organization. The book of Hebrews plainly tells us that (Hebrews 10:29) that they counted the Blood of the Covenant an unholy thing. They preach this not realizing they are saying the blood of Jesus is insufficient to save. A person who gets saved should earnestly seek for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost but will still be saved if they continue in the faith and their sins are under the Blood.

Ben Gray you are correct in saying that Jesus said that to the thief on the cross. But that is only because the Holy Ghost was not yet given until after Jesus ascended into Heaven. Before the Holy Ghost was pored out during the Day of the Pentecost the only way ppl could be saved was through burnt offerings and all that went with that. But now today God himself can abide in our hearts. Speaking in tongues is the evidence that Jesus is in our hearts. The tongue is the most unruly member of the human body so when the heart is full and overflowing with Jesus Spirit it will overflow into the mouth. Aka speaking in tongues.
The one thing you don't want to do is wrestle with scripture. The way to live your life is not to push aside a scripture because you don't understand something. What am I saying?Acts 2:38 is in the Bible. John 3:1-8 is in the Bible. Mark 16:16, Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:4. 1 Peter 3:21 is in the Bible.So the real question, where are you getting your "belief" from when God's word says the opposite.Praying for you as I hope you do for me.
It is false to say you are not saved until you speak in tongues. As a sinner, The Holy Ghost (Spirit of the Father) draws you to repentance, when you repent the Spirit comes and baptizes you into the body of Christ, then we are commanded to be baptized in water. We are not saved by that water but that is our outward testimony to illustrate the change that has happened on the inside. Speaking in tongues is not a sign that you are saved it is a proof that you have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. If we were denied Heaven because we have not spoke with tongues then the blood would be deemed insufficient for salvation. God will not put his Son's blood in hell. This is a damnable heresy preached by this organization. The book of Hebrews plainly tells us that (Hebrews 10:29) that they counted the Blood of the Covenant an unholy thing. They preach this not realizing they are saying the blood of Jesus is insufficient to save. A person who gets saved should earnestly seek for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost but will still be saved if they continue in the faith and their sins are under the Blood.
