      I have to make a catapult with good accuracy. Me and my team have to predict the distance it can launch to and it only has room for a 6 inch error. Im hoping your design will work for me and my group, I will comment to let you know!

      I have to make a catapult exactly like this one but with a plastic spoon instead of a little cap throwing the objects

    Alright. Now it’s the time to make this 30 times bigger. This is not a joke. During the summer, I’m gonna try and make a water balloon catapult and prank my cousins when they get to the house.

    Hey Mr. Burns. If you still reply to these comments, can you let me know what the maximum amount of rubber bands I should use to not break the catapult and to achieve both long and accurate shots?

      Not really possible how to answer this question. Every rubber band has different amounts of elasticity. Also, how sturdy you build the catapult matters. Wishing you the best of luck!

    We cant hold the project down. How would we keep it from topping over when i pull on the catapult with a string?

      can you tape it to the base temporarily? If not you will need a very heavy base.

    Can I use super glue instead of glue gun ? 1:30

      Yup, regular glue is stronger than a glue gun. However, glue guns work a lot faster.

    Hello! Im making a catapult for my project at school.. does this go 2 meters in the air? And do you have any suggestions about having something pull it back ?

      It can go 2 meters in the air, just make sure to angle it, so when the ball is released it goes high. You can pull it back with your hands???

      We are flinging a paper cub but we can not pull back the trigger, we have to find something to make it go off

    How far does it go?

      Depends on how many rubber bands you put onto it, but I have seen it go as far as 8 meters from the ground.

    how far does the object travel horizontally? can it travel at least 3 meters?

    What would be a good alternative to using hot glue? I don't that will be possible on my campus.

      Anything really. Wood glue, Elmer’s glue. It just will take a lot longer to build.

    In what angles can this be launched?

      Depends how you make it, but I would say between 60 - 20 degrees

      Yes you want the part where the trigger hits the popsicle stick to be low so that the angle is higher. Good luck.

    How can we adjust angle in this as this is already build in an angle

      You can put the stopper either lower or higher, to change the angle. I hope that makes sense.

    Hi i needed a catuplt with good accuracy for algebra and me and my partners were looking for a video to help and we found this one. it was not very accurate in the end. we all failed the class due to all the flaws in this catapult like when we shot the ping pong ball the catapult would hop so we had to fix that and the popsicle stick with the bottle cap would slide down. it was not 100% accurate your thumb nail was very miss leading. thank you 😠😠
