This character is very... realistic. Basically an archetype of the 80s and 90s. I live in a neighborhood in Skopje that had a large proportion of military professionals from jna and also jugoslavian administrative middle/upper management (it's mixed, but they are concentrated in some parts of the neighborhood). There are many Zhunguls here :) Great people, fun to hang around with. I think what makes Zhunguls unique is that, they are rebelling against their parents, and their parents are the system, so they are rebelling against the system as well. But at the same time, they have the luxury of being able to rebel because the status of their parents has afforded them access to more information and cultural experiences and their experiences with the system have been more intimate and less strict. So their rebellion is a kind of easy-going dismissive rebellion. Wasn't Johnny Shtulic the son of a general?
