- I took pictures (July 16) on the last day of the 76th Mitama Matsuri (July 13-16).
Events included Japanese dance, mikoshi (portable shrine) festivals, and Aomori Nebuta festival at Yasukuni Shrine.
The Mitama Festival is held at Yasukuni Shrine every July.
Approximately 300,000 people visited during the period, starting in 1947, in connection with the custom of "Obon" to worship and hold a memorial service for the spirits of ancestors.
It is said to be a summer feature of Tokyo that people visit.
highlight
・More than 30,000 large and small lanterns are hung from the approach to the shrine precincts, coloring the night in golden color.
It was especially fantastic with the omikoshi shining against the backdrop of the lanterns.
Japanese dance is a little bit, but I was able to take a video.
The main event was the powerful performance of "Aomori Nebuta".

嬉しいお言葉ありがとうございます。私の気を付けていることは自分ならこう言うシーンが観たいとほぼ直感で撮影しています。細かいところですと場面によってマニュアルでISO、AF、望遠を効かせていますがまだ、一眼レフカメラはじめて１年生なのでほぼ初心者です(^-^;)

靖国神社のみたままつりは7月中に行われるのですね。そういえば東京は早いんですよね。
当方では、というより地方は旧盆の8月になります。😊

You must go to Aomori prefecture in Japan, to see Aomori Nebuta festival held from August 1st to August 7 every year. Either by airplane or tohoku Shinkansen.

靖国神社の「みたままつり」なのですね。認知不足で、知りませんでした😢
冒頭の小型提灯が掲げられた、境内の黄金色の光に圧倒魅了されてしまいました。
提灯を背景に「青森ねぶた」の山車と跳人とお囃子、音質・映像ともに美しい撮影で素晴らしかったです🎶❤ L33

昔、子供の頃仙台に住んでいて、一度だけ青森のねぶた祭りを見に行った事がありました。
その時は、小さくて人だかりしか記憶にないですが、沢山の明かりは覚えています。
