Yes it’s true I’ve come to accept this fact it’s better than taking copium, but I would say 2012 because the were still writing the last of the Fate Of The Jedi 9 Novel series absolute masterpieces. 2012 was the tragic yr George Lucas sold the IP even though it sold Crucible was the last EU Novel released in summer of 2013 I still have to read that one it’s really good basically Luke and Leia are in their 60s Han in his 70s and they hand the torch down to the next generation to Ben Skywalker, Jaina Solo, Tahiri Veila etc obviously we know the time skip of the Legacy Comics in 2008 with Cade Skywalker being the descendant of Anakin/Luke centuries after this book fighting against Rule of One Sith Empire under Darth Krayt another great series but that void between will never be filled.

I agree with you. Disney Star Wars is in hospice. As I see it, to get it back to where it was, Star Wars needs to be sold to someone who cares about George's vision and the lore and remove the Disney name. Disney Star Wars under Disney is an irreparable damaged brand . There needs to be restart/refresh after George's 6 movies and after Disney took over, making ALL of Disney Star Wars non canon and that includes Andor/Rogue One etc. Disney ST is in particular the huge elephant in the room...it needs to be redone properly with George's outlines for it.

That's a total roll of the dice though, will Disney sell? What guarantee is there that whoever buys it would decide to de-canonise the Disney stuff? Would that new owner make stuff that was actually any better than the Disney stuff?
At this point would de-canonising the Disney stuff even help? How would people have any ability to feel invested in a universe if repeated sweeping mass de-canonisations happen every time the IP changes hands? Would it affect people's ability to really enjoy stuff if they were worried that all it takes is another sale and all the stuff they liked is consigned to the canon garbage bin? Cancellation of the Acolyte is a technicality - there's more sludge in the pipe.
A better strategy would be for DIS to mothball Lucasfilm and buy the rights to some decent EU stories, like Zahn's work. Subcontract the work - film only - to Favreau and Golem, and pretend it's an experiment. First film Heir to the Empire, or call it Grand Admiral or whatever, earns two bil and hey presto, experiment succeeds.
DIS has a very serious problem with centralization, of money, of creative control, of permitted imagination, of market research, and marketing. They are too big and too brittle to change. Time to start letting go.

The only way Star Wars can be saved is if someone who is a real Star Wars fan and knows and understands real Star Wars lore (that being the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, the 2002-2007 Clone Wars Multimedia Project, and the Expanded Universe) buys both LucasFilm and the rights of the Star Wars IP from Disney who will then wipe out the Disney "canon" and Filoni sh1t, restore the Expanded Universe and Clone Wars Multimedia Project as canon again, and fire all the woke SJW lunatics who work at Disney LucasFilm and replace them with actual competent and talented people who are actually loyal to George Lucas's vision and won't bastardize his creation in order to use it as a platform for their political agendas.
The question is who would be able to afford buying Star Wars and LucasFilm from Disney if they are an individual and not another corporation? You would have to be as rich as Elon Musk to give Disney an offer they can't refuse for selling Star Wars. If no real Star Wars fan can't afford to buy it from Disney then the only other way Star Wars can be saved is if it goes into the public domain, that way independent studios can be able to make adaptations of the EU novels, comics, and video games which is when we will finally get good Star Wars content again. But if you know how Disney has been with extending the copyright of the IPs they own, it most likely Star Wars won't go public domain any time soon.

Star Wars doesn't need saving. The canon is Episodes 1 - 6. That's it. Clone Wars isn't George Lucas either. That's mostly Filoni. Though George's mistake with Clone Wars was that he never took animation serious, and now everyone sees it as a canon story with primacy. As George said recently, episodes 1 - 6 are still HIS Star Wars. Stories from the properties we love (Star Wars, Harry Potter, LotR) come from the creators ONLY. Game of Thrones is proof of this. Through season 6 it was considered the greatest show of all time. But seasons 7 and 8 came from the minds of those at HBO, not George RR Martin. Story's needed to be started and finished by the creator, not some company that buys or licenses the rights.

Yeah, this is just another failed series. Even if KK leaves, Iger is still there and he was for this. They hired activists. They have to fire all these people and hire people that respect the lore for SW to have a chance...and yes, decannonize the sequels. None of this will happen. There are only 3 possibilities for SW to be 'fixed':
1. Disney goes out of business, and the powerful companies leap on the dead business like vultures on a deadcarcass. This I would love to see.
2. Corporate takeover by Nelson Pelts. This currently has the best chance. Stocks fall to the 60-70s, Peltz comes back with his partner, this time Musk and possibly other multliple businesses come in and take out the assholes at Disney. I would also sit and pull out the popcorn to see this happen. It would be glorious! There would be much crying on the woke side.
3. Licensing SW out to another company. Much like what Sony did with Spiderman. I find this the least desirable because Disney doesn't crash and burn and starts to potentially make money on SW depending on how the licensee does on it. It might also force this other company to keep with their bs timeline they made, which would be horrible. But with a different company, it would atleast have some chance of maybe being good again, especially is they DON'T have to follow the crap timeline and ignore it.
There is no other path. If one of these don't happen, SW will remain dead....period.
