Didn’t know anything about this until I decided to drive down that road today and seen it. That is an awesome peice of history. Glad I happened down that road. Thank you to all who put in the effort to rebuild that section🙂. I really appreciate the hard work and effort people put into thjngs to preserve our hustory. 👏🏻
I owned the local restaurant when the Vertical Access crew was in town evaluating the flume quite a few years before the actual reconstruction was attempted. I met most of these guys, Ron Anthony, Ken Diebolt, and have known T J Short for a long time. I believe TJ was the only local resident who worked on the project. I am very glad they came back and did the reconstruction. I spent one day on the river during the inspections taking photographs. I have so many, it was a really wonderful thing for our area. It's definitely a hidden secret!
