Davud Joseph Scanlon went on to live a normal life after his crimes and died aged 65 on 14 July 1995 in Sydney.

Great video - thank you. I've read all the different research articles. Great to see this with lots of details. What a creepy man. Reigned terror on women and young girls, many of whom never got over their attack (some psychological and some very violent). The cops thought he would turn into a serial killer if not caught believe. Also, his mother lived diagonally opposite us in New England Drive Kingsgrove & the street rumour was that he came home & found his mother dead on the floor one day. Not an excuse, ever for violent intimidation & acts. Two people, can experience same circumstance & events. One grows up to never hurt another. The other is cruel, vile, violent. There are bad seeds. They walk amongst us. There is no excuse for their behaviour, at best some reasons to explain the inexplicability of evil.

Did Detective Sergeant Brian Doyle recover OK after the guy was caught? I hope he got some well deserved leave.
