Friday Night Funkin' (stylized as FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' and often abbreviated to FNF) is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.
The game mainly revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay revolves around hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.

The Truce takes place before X-Tale, in which Error!Sans and Ink!Sans both create a truce, supposedly for the better of the multiverse. No more destruction no more creation.
Five Nights at Freddy's is an indie point-and-click survival horror video game and the first installment of the series developed by Scott Cawthon. It was first released on Desura on August 8, 2014 (although it was ultimately removed at an unknown date), and released on Steam on August 18, 2014. The goal for the player is to survive five nights at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza while avoiding getting caught and stuffed into a mascot costume, thus getting killed by the animatronic characters; this is done by tracking their movements via the restaurant's security cameras. The game is chronologically set as the sequel to Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and the prequel to Five Nights at Freddy's 3 which makes it the fourth game of the series. I love how the D-Sides version of It's-a-Me uses the style of the Virtualboy, alongside the Mario Clash reference (Virtual.ROM's design was based on a Supper Mario Broth post on Tumblr, specifically how the Scoring Screen's graphics from Mario Clash is seen in the game's code)
And that Virtual.ROM is only being scary as an attempt to scare you away (because he just wants to be left alone)
Even though almost none of the FNF characters blink, this one still manages to give an uncanny feel in it's faker form.

His outfit is also different from og mario. The jacket, the rectangular hat and the unnaturally long eyes really give off fake/knock-off vibes

Man, this D-Side it’s-a-me song was a banger, the phases looks amazing here and You and Fried did a great job!
I love how the first phase is nice and slow but with a hint of unease by the inst. but also Mario’s unblinking eyes, and the second phase has a guitar and drums to make the situation more intense by the fact he reveals a more monstrous form, and the third phase increasing the instrumentals as his true grotesque form is revealed
I’d like to imagine this version of Mario somehow transferred himself, and all the worlds to the real world, but since he is a video game character, his body falls apart and cannot handle the “stress” on his body. This song is very cool and the character for once is actually really intimidating

I’d love to hear some more context on who this guy is. The D-side mod is very infamous for putting a creative spin on its characters and their story.
His name is VIRTUAL.ROM he’s just a spirit inside a virtual boy that wishes to be alone, if someone happens upon him he just tries to scare them to make them leave.
As for his design it’s based off what the Mario Clash (I think) score screen looks like internally

I loved it! The design of this character was really cool and seeing 3 mouths on the second phase and another face inside of Mario's face in phase 3 was freaky af. The music was also really good and a certified banger.

I love D-sides, but I could see break away from the FNF stuff and became its own universe.
Because its fun seeing what bits and pieces gets rearranged, get their traits swapped and switching whole themes.
So, having Mario Clash as a D-side variant of It's-a-Me is smart choice on the D-side team.
It already is technically it's own thing other than FNF. Look on the wiki, there is so much stuff.
Yeah, Even Mega Man got his D-side design to match.

Honestly, Speed.gif v1 made me quite uncomfortable, the empty background, the screams of Cyclops, Tails/Knuckles messing with the arrows and the random windows opening just felt weird. It wasn't scary it was just, weird and cool.

This guy's design is one of the coolest I've seen in any of these mods. Super creepy and has a fantastic unnatural feel to him, like he (they?) can barely hold the body together. The song's tone is really powerful. It feels like an attack, like this guy is actually trying to kill you and giving everything to do it.
This is also one of those rare songs where the art actually confused me, in a good way. Along with the tone of the song it feels like it was made to be overwhelming. Like a combo of the old Burning Hatred sprites, It's A Me, and Monochrome

@@dragonusmolamola4140 its not really a glitch but, in the virtural boy sprite code, the sprites are typically split in half, and the reference of mario is basically a mario face split in half, with mouth frames in the middle (i really didn't explain this well)

Never seen D-sides since I've never played the 2.6 update or something (whatever update added ourple and more exe remix things) but when i see it in the future, I'll enjoy every last second of it.
You 2 NAILED the vocals at 2:41. As traumatized as I was when I fist saw Mario's 3rd phase sprites, now that I go back to listen to the song on it's own, it may be one of the best things to ever come out of this community.
