- These 50p coins are worth big money! Though they are really rare, because they aren't supposed to be in your change! Certain dates can be worth up to £80.
These NIFC coins are only available in year sets but it is possible to find them in circulation if someone has spent them.
These are some of the rarest 50p coins that exist! And they really are quite valuable! Have you got any in your collection? They are definitely worth checking your change for! You can find them...maybe...!

It is a point very well made & Indeed also worth gambling on buying an annual year set as just one NSFC 50p or indeed £2 would recoup the cost

Oooh, green with envy ! To get those shield coins. Believe me, I am looking for these shield coins ! I have got 15 of the 2017 shields. Don't know why someone would buy a coin set, break it open, only to spend it as loose change? What a waste !

Only have a 2010 (from a hunt), and a 2018 that I bought on Ebay with the rest of the year set (but missing the £2). The whole set was less than what the 50p coin is going for on its own, and as there were quite a few NIFC's in that set, I've more than recouped the initial outlay 😁 (Oh, and I've just found a 2020 shield in a hunt 😊)

I have a 2020 sheld 50 coin and I would love too know what's it worth it's in mint condition.
Although they have been very scarce over the last couple of years, it seems they are now releasing the bulk of the ones they made. Unfortunately it is a face value coin because the mintage figure is so high at over 46 million. They will be everywhere very soon. Sorry for the bad news!

I'd love to find some but it crosses my mind that ones taken out of sets are probably as a result of burglers cashing in someones once loved collection 😪

Interesting prices, our Kennedy half dollar NIFC’s aren’t that expensive unless your talking 1970 D or 1987 MS 68 in which case your talking 5k for the 70 and 4K for the 87. I know a guy in the USA that hunts half dollars and I had him pull out the P&D mint years after 2001 when they became NIFC’s and purchased a set. Our friend master temple was kind enough to send me a few uk coins for my collection and I’m sending him a few goodies in return along with some things for you… im hoping he can figure out how to get them to you if he doesn’t mind 😬 (I never got your address and no P.O. Box yet) im excited this is finally happening I’m just waiting on a few more items to get to me and I’ll send it off. 🤩 thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼

what happens if the coin looks smudged from print process, like a mistake. what does that do to the price?
Probably a worn out die used to strike the coin, pretty common and doesn't add any va;ue in my opinion. Sorry!

Lots of NIFC years on the older Britannias (pre 97). I done a video about the old large commemorative ones too.
Great video mate, I found a 2016 a while ago.
Q: what is the difference between a Standard annual coin set and the proof set? Because I have a 2010 deluxe set I'm thinking of breaking open and selling them because don't know how but one of the £1 coin is damaged and I'm guessing it would effect the price as whole hence why I'm thinking of breaking it open. Any ideas in price wise. Thank you
It's usually anything from a £20-50 difference between the quality of the sets, you would have to check on eBay mate. Nice 2016 find!

It can be worth it for sure. I don’t have any graded coins yet. But I am deciding what to send off for my first submission at the moment.
