"Look, Sisyphus! A chunk of rock crumbled off that boulder" hits too hard. Basically you went through hell and did all of that and got nowhere. The struggle won't stop it just became a little bit easier.
I don’t know if anyone is still reading this but there is an ending if you beat all the organized fights in prison. You will need to beat three more opponents from a tournament outside and can escape at the end. I assume this was added recently since so few people got it (lowest percentage achievement on steam).
Hey man, love your vids. You might already figured it out by yourself by now, but there is an escape route that grants "The Chariot" achievement. Is a bit convoluted, you'll probably join the Sharp Tooth Gang after doing everything. Basically, you have to do 3 Alex's quest. The one that requires you get a lipstick from his courier. Simple enough, chew some gums and brush your teeth before headcount for easy money. The second is charting the kitchen cellar which requires being in the poker backroom club and some persuasion. The gate to the last 2 investigation spot is locked, you can either lockpick it or use the key provided by the barbershop. The last one is getting his baseball at the mailroom (the place where you get the Baroness business card, is located at the right anti-theft locked cupboard), you'll only unlock this quest by asking Alex how to copy a palm print for the main quest during exposing Chaplain Anderson and not already found the other way into his private rooms at night. After completing all 3, simply wait for that riot scene to happen and follow Alex into the kitchen cellar, the rest is yours to witness as you become the real winner at the end. Enjoy
Thanks for the heads up! I had found the riot escape at the time of this video but only included one because the game only ends if you didn't finish the main quest. I intend to have a guide for all four ways up soon-ish. As an addendum, you can get the baseball quest whether or not you ask about the palm print. I skipped the palm print on my 2nd run entirely by climbing into the chapel at night via the cable and still got the baseball quest on Day 13.
Loved your vids! Also there is a new urban legend escape option after update. You have to hear an urban legend from other inmates, get an apple and a knife, then you’ll have the option to peel the apple before the mirror at midnight on a certain day(forget which). That will teleport you outside the prison.
Yeah, I've been following updates and saw someone figured it out and was able to do the same shortly after. I still want to do guides (I was in the middle of doing an escape one) but I never seem to follow through on them and on top of that I've just been busy with other stuff. Whenever they do more updates I'll be playing.
No problem, good luck! There have been more escape routes added since I originally played with another route being added but I don't intend to go back until Thomas' story is all wrapped up.
Papers Please is just escaping prison through any of the four possible ways before finishing the main quest. The various escapes aren't endings per se (although the game ends if you haven't finished the main quest). The glider requires reaching the water tower and reading Game of Kings to get the idea to build a wing suit. Do so and you can fly off the water tower. The tower by the infirmary requires getting into Beth's work room at night, disassembling the grate on the window, and picking an anti-theft lock. You need a belt or rope before climbing the tower. I'll be making a guide for all four ways soon.
@CrankyTemplar Ah, I figured Papers please, was the don't do Main Quest ending, I would have never thought of Game of Kings for the Water Tower got there and just wondered what I should do I guess it's the easiest too cause only 2 agility checks and 1 item (ignoring the setup for the pipe area)
That paper please ending had me laughing so much

LOVED that Papers Please reference. Still, that coma ending scared me.
1:59 If you squint, you can see that the newspaper has some garbled actual text, including something in the top right corner about Cyberpunk 2077.

Yeah, I'm aware of that update I just haven't gone back to get it. At some point I might do a video showing the ways to escape.

5:40 what do ya think they do with his body ? just leave it there ?
Yeah, it becomes decoration for the next tenant.
@@CrankyTemplar awwwww well at least he was dressed nice and sharp in his fancy suit
Sure Zootopia took an really dark turn
Well when you try everything you'll eventually have something dark.
🤔
YAY! A new WtD video! Best monday ever!
edit: Love the reference to Papers Please
10:00 Unarmed attack? Dude’s got a knife!
Can you still get the true ending if you escaped the prison in other ways? Like Thomas gliding in the air while also having Selina's apartment key
Yes, as long as you escape when you have Selina's key you will reach the final act.
Amazing compilations!!
Thanks! Looking forward to more updates in the future. Now to see if I can compile some info into some helpful guides...
Which escape option do we need to choose to reach the good end?
Any of them work provided you completed the main quest and received the apartment key before escaping.
@@CrankyTemplar So it's enough for me to finish at any end. i understood, thank you very much

How do you get the papers please ending and the Escape endings (Glider and Not getting shot by the sniper)

Paraglider is probably the easiest escape since it involves no fighting or danger segments like the others.
@CrankyTemplar Oh and have you found a way to enter the cistern?
Not at this time. I'm guessing that might be one of the later escape routes added.
how do i get the Bullseye ending
That's a game over, not an ending. Just get killed by the snipers trying to climb the tower.
@@CrankyTemplar thanks for quick respond but what tower are we speaking of is it the water tower
@@GamerDk23 No, you only encounter snipers climbing the cell tower behind the infirmary.
