I passed the driving test today. I only had 10 hours of lesson with professional inductor. Then, I put insurance on my dad car and drove around for 1 month with him. I gained a much confident over in one month. I booked the test and I have passed it. I have passed both my theory and driving test in first attempt. I never had mock test and I have used my dad car for the test. Which is VW touran (Big 7 seater). By the way, I only made two minor fault. Thank you very much because I watch your mock tests and learned lots from learners mistakes. Also thank you for your best tips.
I’ve got my test early April and I’m dyslexic so it’s hard for me to read and comprehend the roads signs at roundabouts so I never know. I’ve had to push back my test 2 times because I struggle
Just wanted to say thank you for making your videos! You guys do an amazing job! I passed my test 1st time on Saturday with 0 minors and honestly think your videos played a massive part in it! 😊
Thank you for your videos they helped me a lot i passed today with 0 minors for the first time! i can’t believe it i am so happyyyyyy! good luck everyone!
I passed last October. But with an examiner sitting next too you its not so bad when you become independent and have passed its scary. I have had a test with no sat nav and no directions to follow. They would not make you do the whole test again. In fact I am pretty sure they must look at previous tests if you have done previous tests. As you said if your not sure ask or continue safely you can still pass so long as your safe. I have heard about someone always taking a wrong turn on a roundabout because they were scared of taking the wrong turn.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for making these videos, I passed 3rd time lucky this morning with 0 minors and your videos helped me so much from the very beginning. Keep up the great work you guys do! xx
I wishe if I saw this video before as I failed my first test yesterday 🤦♀️ I've changed my lane without checking mirror because I wasn't sure about which road to take . I didn't know going to a wrong direction won't fail you 🤷♀️
I passed almost a year ago now, and still value this channels information as it helped me greatly in understanding details that lead to my pass. Thank you for the uploads.
i knew i will be pass soon cos once i am in the car, all im thinking about is my children behind me and my prority is to keep them safe. just in my imagine it'll help me to pass
This channel definitely helped me a lot - easy to understand and informative content but also quite calming too! So just to say thank you as I passed my driving test first time yesterday! 😊
What would happen if you took a wrong turn which resulted in going onto a motorway? In my test centre there are a lot of roundabouts with confusing lanes.
We are allowed to use the motorway on driving lessons, but not on a test - so the examiner would direct the driver on a test to keep them away from a motorway.
can you please explain how long 100 yards for example because sometimes I don't know where I exactly should turn if, in the near turn or the latest, I should see the screen? and when exactly should I signal when I get near and it repeats the order for example turn left (first time say 200 yards then it repeats it at this point I should signal ? )and sorry for my misunderstood, thank you for your help
100 yards is 91.44 metres. That doesn’t help really. Instead imagine that the sat-nav is just counting down from 100 to 0, similar to the countdown before a rocket launches. The unit doesn’t matter, it’s just to give a rough idea of how close you are. When you choose to signal / brake / turn would depend on how fast you are driving and the presence of other junctions or hazards. I’m sure your instructor can help you improve your driving 👍🏼
RE: Independent Driving, I wont have had any real world tuitoring on it due to COVID and PT2 ADi is 4th Dec after one 4 hour lesson, how could I self teach please, thanks
‘Independent driving’ is just driving on your own - as you have done for years. As long as you can follow traffic signs or a sat-nav then you won’t have a problem 👍🏼
I have driving test coming up soon I have questions about independent driving, ' It is okay to take wrong turn' rule still in place ? Or anything has changed because this video is bit old.
I watched your all videos and learn a lot,, I hv question? Is that possible examiner didn’t ask for sat-nav and just ask us to follow the tragic signs on independent driving?
Qs: If I’m on a hill about to turn left or right at an open clear junction. Do I need to stop and use my handbrake then clutch control? OR Would I be expected to enter the new road without stopping because it’s clear?
This is a skill that takes practice. Try using the sat-nav screen as well as the voice, and then look ahead to spot the road you need to turn into. Good luck!
I know you said that you don’t need to memorise the directions. I am worried that the driving instructor will tell me instructions such as turn right, left, left and then right and I will forget this. I have really bad direction memory. Do you have any tips on this?
The examiner doesn’t give you lots of directions at once on the test. During the ‘normal driving’ part of the test they will give you one direction at a time - and then during the ‘independent driving’ part of the test you will be asked to follow traffic signs or their sat-nav. If you get confused at any point, just ask them to repeat their instruction. 👍🏼
Don’t bother trying to learn ‘test routes’ - instead ensure you are able to drive on any road or junction in the local area so you are ready for anything. 👍🏼

If SAT NAT driving told :
"turn left, then bare right"
So, after you turn left, what does it mean : bare right? what position?
'Bare right' usually means that you need to follow the road to the right at the next bend.

For independent driving can you ask if 2nd exit is left, right or straight ahead?
Yes, it's OK to ask the examiner for clarification. This video might help: How to read roundabout signs: ua-cam.com/video/u6z536F2Kug/v-deo.html

OwenTv go on the motorway, you're legally allowed. Just safely merge and come off At the next junction
OwenTv well providing your instructor is qualified and the car has dual controls
We are allowed to use the motorway on driving lessons, but not on a test - so the examiner would direct the driver on a test to keep them away from a motorway.

I watched your all videos and learn a lot,, I hv question? Is that possible examiner didn’t ask for sat-nav and just ask us to follow the tragic signs on independent driving?
Yes, approximately 20% of tests follow traffic signs, and 80% follow sat-nav.

Good luck!
What if you go the wrong way a few times?
As long as you stay safe, it’s not a problem.
Just wondering if u cannot follow the sat navigation but can drive independently, will that be a fail?
You've got to try to follow the test route - so an honest mistake or two will be OK, but you can't just drive around wherever you like!
Thank you
I know you said that you don’t need to memorise the directions. I am worried that the driving instructor will tell me instructions such as turn right, left, left and then right and I will forget this. I have really bad direction memory. Do you have any tips on this?
