- The next chapter in the continuing story line of the AUTOONE LED sponsored video. If it was easy anyone would do it! I swap over the headlight housings from my ultra expensive Trucklights to the el'cheapo Amazon housings and install the new AUTOONE light bulbs. It was a quick job and went pretty well. The video took a quick left once I decided to try to adjust the light as the internet said it could be done. Well I quickly found out that was not the case and ruined the drivers side light. This lent itself for further analysis of the lights as I now got to play AVE and see what they are made of inside. We also get to see a side by side comparison of the LED VS the Halogen light which tells the tail about the LED's. This was an eye opening experience for me from being our very first product sponsored video and dealing with a company selling a product. I have learned a bit more about affiliate programs and how to extend your income potential by leveraging your viewers. I hope you can appreciate why I took this deal and why I will be taking more of these in the future. I feel as though my approach to these types of sponsorship is both fair and balanced for you the viewer and the company sponsoring the video. So now you need to do a video of how to reassemble that light bulb.😁
Also do a comparison of the two different lights with the halogen hooked up to a full 12 volts. Older wiring seems to in time incur a voltage drop through the path of wiring the electricity has to flow through. You can check this by using a voltage meter to measure the voltage at the headlight and then compare the voltage right at the battery. Odds are it's probably around 3 or more volts less than at the battery. If so then hook up the full voltage to the halogen and compare.
If the voltage isn't less at the light, try a couple different halogens if you have them to see if the one you had installed was shining like it's supposed to. Because I have never seen a halogen glow that red before unless the voltage is really low.🤔🤷😎👍

The old sealed beam headlights aren't what we remember them. It's either that or our age is showing and I can't see for shit anymore. LOL, probably the latter though.

I am nothing if not thorough! My unfortunate actions of twisting the light allowed me to go further into the product then I had intended but I think it showed the audience more than they ever thought they needed to know about the AUTOONE LED light that we used in Larry the Bullnose Ford!
Thanks for the video. The adjustable product you mentioned is not part of the same series as the one featured in the video. For products that allow adjustment, we provide screws that enable you to change the base direction, allowing you to position the LED chips as needed. However, please take care-excessive twisting may cause internal connections to loosen, particularly around the wiring and circuit board. Forcing it could potentially cause damage. Ya know what works almost as good for a fraction of the cost that will make the old style bulbs light up brighter? They sell relay switches that will send alternator voltage to the headlights. I don't know about you but the blue light from the LEDs bug my eyes. It's like they emit a white shadow, hard to explain but that's kinda what I see with those. The good ole halogens are great with full voltage to me, none of that white shadowing from these.😎👍
When you first turn on the LED lights, you can see the white fog those emit, that's kinda what I'm talking about. With higher humidity the worse that white fog is.😎👍
Once I get the new replacement bulb for the one I ham fisted into oblivion I will take some additional time to run some voltage checks and talk about VD and the effects it has on these older circuits. Lord knows the high quality headlamp switches that Ford used in these trucks will have a certain amount of VD let alone the spade connectors and awesome wire harnesses that these trucks have. I am willing to bet we are down a volt or so, thanks for the interest and the idea to extend the AUTOONE LED saga!
