I think the leadburster is such a strong weapon because it scales really well with every stat
i think it is more because it has access to triple grenade upgrade while being a weapon that scales off fire-rate. it makes fire-rate 3x as effective as a stat. this is in my opinion the strongest weapon in the entire game now. Plasma Cabine being 2nd best.
And also the experimental plasma charger is insane. Combined with the carbine the burster almost always ends up doing more damage. It shocked me at first, but then again with how much one kites on haz5 it makes sense since they damage mobs all across the map
Impact Axe used to be good when Kinetic Firerate was in the game (which disappeared stealthily).
Now it really needs the Projectile trait so the Firerate can be increased, especially as it has a Clip Size like most guns do.
The "Leadburner" was freaking awesome even with virtually no Fire or Status Effect Damage upgrades.

I agree...sometimes I know they'll be good, but then it still surprises me how good it actually ends up being.
I had a Scout build with a high crit chance and a high level plasma rifle. With an overclock that shoots multiple shots all bouncing off walls and a near-instant reload speed and fast fire rate. I could charge into hordes and they died before I could be damaged by them. Even those large green elites died so fast! 😂
Yeah would be nice if could disolve a weapon for multiple upgrades instead
You could tell it was going to do all the damage when you picked the favorite.
A great QoL for the impact axe could be to always have the impact knock BACK. No matter how the axe strikes, it feels like it should be pushing bugs AWAY from me

Have you tried an explosion radius build on the demolitionist, I couldn't see anything during my run, but you are pretty much untouchable when you can freeze past the edges of the screen. Any of the explosive tagged are fine to take, plus cryo for some safety.

Throwable axe is the worst in your opinion!? It consistently does more dps than any other throwable, even when having 1/2 the levels. It rocks!
I can’t deny your lead burster melted enemies fast. I need to try it out. It feels so weak at first I never gave it much of a shot.
The plasma burster might be worse...but Axe is up there as worst weapons in the game imo. As a throwable, I'd never take it over Incendiary, neuro, leadburster, or cryo. Those would be my top 4 throwables.
