One of the greatest Broadway stars ever! Instant Tears any time I hear her sing Back To Before. She was perfection in that role. Rest well dear Marin Mazzie.
She was a bright light on this planet. A bright light taken from us long before she should have been. Talent like Marin's is rare. People like Marin are rare. She is and will be forever remembered and missed. ❤️
I have been sitting here in silence, in awe, in an indescribable state of confusion as to how to describe what I just saw and heard. I don't have words. That was literally a performance that defies description. I don't know... What to say. Marin. Thank you. Thank you, for this performance.
The recording of "Back to Before" with the conductor, orchestra, and Marin Mazzie is phenomenal. Absolutely brilliant. What extraordinary talent the beautiful Marin Mazzie had. She was a treasure to the musical theater world.
Marin Mazzie, I know you are singing with the Angels! I loved you, even though we never met! You'll continue to inspire me as an artist on their way to Broadway & Beyond!
victor dunson, YES, she could...she didn't sing, she SANG! Marin & my mother went to the same college. And Marin is a Soul Singer! You don't have to be a pop, rock or r&b artist to be that either. Any genre of music when one sings from the depth of their soul & with emotion, passion, understanding & love.... that's a true artist, which she was. And her memories will live forever because she made an impact.
Marin Mazzie was one of the most under-rated of stage actresses ever! Her immense talent shined in every role she tackled. She should have been awarded the Tony for her performances in Ragtime and Kiss Me Kate.
Thank You for this tribute even if it makes me cry. I am broken hearted to her of Marin Mazzie death. Over the last 25 years her voice has filled me with its grace and left me awed. Blessings to her loved ones. This studio recording I used to watch but recently have been unable to find. Is it possible to repost it in its entirety?
The song is called "Goodbye, My Love." It segues directly into the next song, "Journey On," which finishes as a trio with Mother singing a reprise of the last verse of "Goodbye, My Love."

Brava Brava Brava!!! So brilliant! Crushes me this remarkable talent is no longer with us! You will never be forgotten Marin! ❤️❤️❤️
Some artists have a “signature “ song. This was Marin’s.
I’d say this and So In Love
Marin is a singular talent. So missed
What a breathtaking talent taken too soon.

She had a very strong and powerful voice and understood the role. Not sure where confusion comes into play. She was a talented woman.

I'm in love with the whole musical itself!
It becomes even stronger when you see all the women in the show backing her up before the final verse.
Journey on, Marin - Journey on.
Oh god this comment has brought me to tears. Beautiful.
God bless her soul!
