The sound, marching, dancing, and excellent presentation gets all 10’s for me!!!! Grambling has that pageantry and sparkle I look to see from HBCU’s! Excellent performance gramfam! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lord Have Mercy....That's not a Band....That's a World Famous Machine! Just WOW! The sound was booming....The moving was all in synchronicity.....and with those colors of the uniforms and the instruments blending in together and shimmering under those Saturday night lights.....Just Damn! Grambling State University Marching Band, You are without a doubt THE BADDEST IN THE LAND!✔💯💯
Awesome season opener Grambling! The band sounds amazing, the drill was on point, and Orchesis slayed the field! Bravo! 👏

@@cb7599 storm can brew both bands have upgraded and it wasn't a blow out from either last season won't be this season. I just miss pv Hype dance routines seem after 2011 their shows haven't been the same
That's because they're too busy TALKIN' the HYPE....on both sides....and Gram had TWO loud mouths last year.....Your Show should SPEAK for itself.....These announcers need to realize , The Cotton Bowl is full of speakers....the Stadium speakers...the ones on the columns under the eaves..plus the ground mics....which makes the acoustics horrible ...it changes the whole feel of the show...they look off and out of step....A mic amplifies.....so why are they yelling? Just like Eddie Robinson said....'It's about the game".....Halftime is about Music , Drills, and "Moves!!" Not cackling announcers. Please you guys....give us a Show and not a Shout !!! And this message is to both bands.
@@cb7599 it's been said but the directors must say it. But every swac band has that issue. Overall gsu still had a great show last year. I just want to hear the band more at times idk. I remember in 2003 the pa system broke before halftime and the band played with no announcer and they did great only voices u heard was the crowd.

@@mistawilliams9478 you being from UAPB. Should know GSU vs UAPB us always a great battle no matter how each band is doing each season it's always a good two hour fifth. I miss the 2004 pb band 2019 uapb is getting there but Graham seem he stuck in his ways as Dr pannell was but UAPB vs Langston was a very good battle LU came to play
This is what I like to see great job and RIP Mr. Johnson, some of the best years of the world famed were when he was around and he is forever a legend at wosman high school right in Monroe. Great job, I might see yall at Tech....but I don't want to give those white people my money....

Nice full sound and great drill
Good show, standard GSU trademark. Drill had a few parts which require review. Intonation with low brass should be addressed. All in all, great show from start to finish. The schedule at GSU, music, parade, drill and dance routine is demanding and regimented. It's really up to the students to quickly perfect the show elements in order to work additional music. Dr. Roebuck great job at getting the entire band on the field and keeping continuity. Dr. T hang in there. GSU WF treat every practice like it's bayou classic. Phi Mu Alpha OL Spr 04

This is the best sounding band from an HBCU that I have seen on UA-cam. The drill squad was exceptional. The entire band was classy and dance moves were done with precision and excellence🤗
