It's very interesting when David mentioned the "armies of the Living God". At first one might think he was referring to the physical army under Saul's command, but as we see, they were all big, muscular men scared of Goliath. They didn't realize David was talking spiritually of the armies of heaven. In other words, David was accusing Goliath of blaspheming the Army of God in heaven. This is why David had faith because he knew Goliath went too far. Saul and his human soldiiers didn't understand this, which is why fear kept them from defying Goliath.
David also knew that God had chosen him to be king of Israel and therefore since anything God declares will happen, has to come true or He is a liar. We know better than that though. David had to assume and be very confident in a victory because He knew God had to help him win.

Thank you for such a meaningful message. Unfortunately we live in a world that promotes fear. But as christians we should only fear Our Heavenly Father he is the only one that can condemn us. Faith over fear, of things that this world promotes. When I lost my job for declining the vaccine, I was in fear. Because I didn’t know how I was going to support my family. I’m a widow with two beautiful children both of my sons suffer from autism. I worked for over 13 years in the hospital. But unfortunately I suffer from heart disease and lupus because of my pre existing health conditions and my religious beliefs. I declined the vaccine. Since losing my job I’ve been really struggling to provide for my children. I have no family nor friends that I can turn too. I feel alone and ashamed. The fear of homelessness with two young children is stressful. BUT ITS MY faith in God that gives me strength. God will carry me through. I have faith.

What people don't know about the David and Goliath battle was that Goliath was the underdog and not David, like most people believe.
Goliath was short sighted and thought David was holding a stick or staff. If Goliath had 20/20 vision, he would have noticed David holding a slingshot (a gun) in his hand since Goliath was a warrior at youth and would have known this. But Goliath, being short sighted, thought he was going into a stick fight, not a gun fight. Hence why Goliath is the underdog in this battle.
Morale of this story, never bring a javelin to a gun fight unless you can see clearly.
