All too often we forget the reliability of a good stainless steel pot 👍 and can very easily be lead down the more expensive route when we dont need to. thanks for sharing, regards matt

I think we need a metal top instead of the plastic .. we can directly put in on fire so that it can regulate better temps and cook fast
The lid is heat resistant and I think it will be fine as long as it doesn't get in contact with the flame. I think it's made of tritan plastic to reduce its weight a bit. Thanks for your comment, Luciano.
Mi piace il sistema per chiuderla. Ho la vecchia gavetta quechua di alluminio ma si chiude con un elastico. Ottimo video.
Anche io ho quella in alluminio e la trovo molto comoda. Però questa qui è diventata la mia favorita sicuramente anche per il comodo sistema di chiusura.

Thank you pal. Yes it's a big pot but still easy to pack. Yeah we could try to organise a camp next year. My son is slowly getting used to spend more time in the woods.

Grazie per la recensione. Hai avuto problemi con il coperchio di plastica sul fuoco? Aggiornamenti dopo qualche mese di utilizzo?
Non ho avuto problemi con il coperchio. Il tritan di cui è fatto resiste a 100 gradi centigradi. Certo devi stare attento a non farlo venire a contatto col fuoco.
Cmq il prodotto è molto buono però tieni conto che è un pentolone nel senso che va bene per due o anche 3 persone se ci si adatta. Io l'ho comprato principalmente per quando campeggio con mio figlio. Portarlo per uscite di una persona è grande ed occuperebbe spazio utile nello zaino.

This is what Decathlon says about the plastic: "We have chosen polyamide (cutlery and handle), polypropylene (plates) and Tritan (lid) because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 100°C), impacts and deformation.
All our plastics in contact with food are Bisphenol A-free (BPA) in compliance with current French regulations.
However, do not place the plastic in direct contact with a flame, or it may melt."
