That poor fella has been sitting there on that little wall for _ages_ just waiting for someone to come by and ask him about pools. He's been there _so long_ waiting that the pool he is supposed to tell people about closed for good! Then Zac comes by and finally, he gets to fulfill his destiny of telling someone, _anyone_ about a pool and Zac just runs off.

I completely understand why the old man wouldn't tell you his name. Unfortunately, many people take advantage and crimes can happen even if someone is only finding out your name (many rich people can be googled and you can find out about their wealth. You don't know if he already has been robbed once and is careful ever since. So please don't ask such questions going into a stranger's house.

I have a theory that more people are willing to say yes if you let them know it’s a crazy request and a competition as soon as possible. Many successful people can relate to the mindset of competing and doing something unique. Being polite and having a decent vibe also helps.

When we had a pool my parents LOVED sharing- always inviting the most random people to come over for a swim. Especially anyone coming to share their religion lol. They didn’t go out much and I think desperate for socialization. It doesn’t hurt to ask.

Yeah also theres a wierdly huge difference between asking random people if they want to use your pool, and random people asking to use your pool. The first one is likely to be just a normal guy, the second has a much higher chance of being a criminal
This used to be a thing in my old neighborhood teens would ask folks with pools or trampoline in their back yards if they could use them it was some of the best memories i had back then 😂❤❤❤❤
