“Missing In Action” is the standard designation assigned to the Spartans who are KIA in order for UNSC propagandists to cultivate the idea of them being these immortal warriors; it's the reason why they say “Spartans never die.” For Ghost to be attributed this title upon his death is essentially affording him the same degree of honor as one would a fallen Spartan.
@@oscaravila9458no he was a normal guy, the original comment was correct, MIA is awarded to war hero’s Spartan or not that go above and beyond in their final moments
I love this one so much because I always saw Ghost and his mindset as a reflection of Master Chief. He's been so hardened by his upbringing and the battles he's fought, it's more of a struggle for him to feel something than it is to steel his emotions. I love any time this series investigates humanity and what it means to be a person.
Ghost is dead, that was a Nuclear detonation from the armor there is no surviving that, and Prototype refers to the armor aka the MK1 Prototype Mjolnir Powered Exoskeleton
Same, they had a beautiful animation style and really captured the small details of Covie and UNSC design...right down to the worms popping out of the dead Hunter
This is my favorite one because it combines the incredible emotional core with the epic music and combat portions we expect from Halo. Then it caps it off with the tribute to Ghost himself by his commanding officer regarding his sacrifice.
"Now I want to play the suit like that" well you technically are, the prototype was the groundwork for the mjolnir armor that all the Spartans are later using.
The Yggdrasil armor is the basis for the mjinoir armor. It has been around long before the Spartan armor. This particular one is is just the next evolution in the Yggdrasil line of armor
I relate to Ghost a lot which is why this is one of my favourite episodes. He thought that shutting out all emotion would protect him and the people he cared for (his troops) when really, all they wanted was for him to "be human". This episode actually put me on the path to deal with my own demons (ha, Halo references).
This is one of my favorites, it's a very well contained short story. You really don't need to know anything about halo to watch and understand this episode and it hits just as good all the same. I often come back and rewatch this one.
Personally if someone tells you to be human... if your behavior within your perspective was human then your ego is damaged. Not only that but your previous actions take on new context. It isn't irrational to state that you die inside. Questioning yourself starts with an outside perspective typically. How would you try and answer such a question? Also halo legends is so much depresso espresso I love it.
Just a reminder to please not discuss any lore that Meg has not come across yet - be it in books, cinematics, or elsewhere. (She may want to discover it all herself.) Thank you!
No. Mjlonir was already a thing before humanity made contact with The Covenant, Spartans were made to combat the resistance. This prototype was to give normal marines the firepower of an entire army.

the marine who died as a Spartan

The "He's not even human!" line wasn't meant to be taken literally. It has to do with his cold / detached nature when commanding his troops.

Banshees are the flying Covenant aircraft while the ghosts are the small Covenant ground vehicles.
The Prototype is the only Legend that even just hearing it makes me tear up.
Pain. Agony even
AGONYYYYYYYYYYYY!
IVE SUFFERED A GRIIIIIIIIIEVOUS WOUND!
This is probably my favorite story in Legends. I could watch an entire anime series in this style and writing

I love the pace you’re going through these shorts, really giving yourself time to digest the stories!
Prototype is definitively one of the best chapter in Halo Legends
John reflects on his augmentations and how he was wronged in the next book HALO: the flood.
I tear up every time that "Never Forget" hits
My absolute favorite episode of Halo Legends. And the next one is also my favorite and I'm excited for that
"Now I want to play the suit like that" well you technically are, the prototype was the groundwork for the mjolnir armor that all the Spartans are later using.
It was the progenitor to the mantis not mjolnir. Spartans existed before this

Ghost, in a way reminds me of Kyle Reese in The Terminator- "Pain can be controlled, you just disconnect it"

I'm amazed that you didn´t catch the "He´s not even human" thing
Ghost became of my favorite halo characters ever, love this story.
This actually reminds me so much of 86 now, would be awesome to see Meg's reaction to that anime
It's life or soul. Im both surprised with how much of master chief's soul is gone and how much of it he still has
All covenant vehicles are named after ghosts of some kind. Wraith, phantom, scarab, banshee, lich, ghost.
Favorite episode in Legends.
YESSSSSS this, homecoming, and the babysitter are my favorite!!
Ghost was brave in the end Just like A Spartin and just like a Spartin Spartins never Go K.I.A There just M.I.A
When the video first began the explosion in the first part it was cut off with an ad for an online shopping tool 💀

Voice acting was a bit dated but still good. Heart of Midlothian is also so… so excellent.
Question: Ghost from halo vs Ghost from call of duty?
Another really cool lord video I enjoy is called “Heroes Never Die” it tells a lot of cool stories of the Human-Covenant War
Check that. Watch it after you finish reach. There’s too many spoilers in it.
Just a reminder to please not discuss any lore that Meg has not come across yet - be it in books, cinematics, or elsewhere. (She may want to discover it all herself.) Thank you!
It is always great and uplifting to see your smiling face
have a very beautiful Monday Meg.💞🐕🐶🐕💞
My favorite one. Well this or Babysitter
That armor is a prototype of the Spartan armor, Mjlonir.
No. Mjlonir was already a thing before humanity made contact with The Covenant, Spartans were made to combat the resistance. This prototype was to give normal marines the firepower of an entire army.
It is not MJOLNIR prototype. It was a new exo armor type that was being prototyped and was to be used by regular Marines.
Waiting for the reach playthrough
I would love to see a reaction to Halo's "The Mona Lisa" love the content and keep it up 🎉
this one fd me up the 1st watch
i belive that this is the first version of MC mjolnir armor
No, it's actually derived from MJOLNIR, not the other way around.
It’s concept is used for a Vehicle in a future game
Are you gonna watch the Halo: Evolutions too?
Once you are done with Halo legends watch halo evolutions
My favorite one
Finally
Wish the video would stay up
Meg doesn’t delete these; she has a whole playlist of them.
