Might be to late to ask....but i put all new mounts on my 93 and the cab still sags shimmed it up to where it needs to be and now my bolts are to short. Where can i get longer bolts?
Me too. I have a 94 Yukon. It might not have much for fancy options or fuel economy, but the styling, simplicity and feel of these older trucks makes them great rides.
What is the socket size of the bolt? I have a 1995 K2500 suburban. Today I noticed one body mount dounut/washer loose, on passenger door area. While I was applying it's first ever rust undercoating treatment (Sta-Bil spray can) Seen little in the way of salt roads though; it has sat outside its whole life so I imagine I shouldn't try to tighten it - or it might snap in two too. I made a UA-cam video of the rust prep 📺
Hello I don’t know if you could recall, but I’m replacing my father in laws this weekend I have to weld some brackets and braces back onto it they aren’t as bad as the one you have here! I was wondering if you could tell me the size of the bolts you use I’d like to have some on hand when I do it because I have a feeling they are going to snap and I will need to extract them! Any info you have would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you
I love the truck so much it's just so hard to justify it's like putting a Diamond into a gum ball machine ring. A new 3/4 ton is north of 50 K so yea in many way's it's worth restoring even if you got the dough. And I do not
Josaljo Won I have a question I want to put nerf bars but do not have installation hardware do you know how long bolts have to be so I can install factory ones are short.

Not sure where to buy them, i would cut them and weld longer rod on. I know that does not help much sorry.
Great to see people are still fixing and keeping these trucks.
Craig Schmid I love this year truck

Them bolts are very easy to get out there is just little tin cover under carpet. Heat with map gas torch.
Where did you get the replacement part that rusted away for the top

Josh, I want to answer you but I am away from my garage. In the morning I could probably tell you. Sorry Joe
How do i lift the cab????! I tried replacing these on my 01 silverado ,and the bolts broke exactly how yours did
I put a jack with a piece of flat wood on it against the floor and jacked it up.
can you buy these mounts new? bad feeling i'll need some in a few years haha
Yes you can buy them but they are very thin. They also rust out again fairly quickly.
Does anybody know where get rear upper cushion for a 98 Chevy Ext cab,I need 2 of them
www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/search.aspx?searchTerms=ext%20cab%20cushion New or junk yard for used.
Dorman or advance auto can order those body bushings
Totaled my 95 k2500 is the same shape thanks GM
Is it worth fixing? A friend of mine has a 95 and he loves the truck it is just little thinging him to death. LOL

How did those stud pullers work, I have the same problem with my old truck haha. You don't happen to recall what size the mounting bolts were do ya?
12mmx1.75 4" long. Stud removers worked very well with soaking the threads as best as can be done.
Awesome, thanks for the info. That may as well have saved me a trip back to the store, because I was guessing 7/16
