What is Rust? Rust is an INTENSE PVP multiplayer survival game that I've played for THOUSANDS of hours. I've gone on MASSIVE Solo adventures, clan wipes, HUGE raids and just about every experience under the Sun. It's a game that can have the most intense nail biting moments, or you can spend hours doing nothing interesting, The way the cookie crumbles can never be predicted and of course I save the absolute best bits for you guys. Whether it's PvP moments, epic counter raids or my clan messing with each other, everything you need to experience Rust is right here on the Max Mears channel. I hope you enjoy, peace.

This series is definitely my favorite on your channel so far. It's just too bad that children like CC and OT have to mess with an event that has NOTHING to do with the game other than friendly competition. Keep the sweaty Chad shit on the clan servers and let the rest of us play the FUN portion of the game.

To Max and your entire event crew ... well done boys and girls! The amount of work and logistics that went into pulling something like this off must have been tremendous. Save the cry babies, it went off relatively smoothly and without a hitch. You should be proud of your effort and thank you for that effort!

Have you ever thought about doing this type of event with smaller teams? like trios or quads but more teams at once like 8 teams or something? I think that would be really fun to watch

Yeah work harder! Jokes aside we where SUPER careful, most teams had no background in cheating, CC had around 15 applicants and the guys qe did let in had bans for griefing, toxicity etc but not cheating so we let them play

@@papasculli5769 That would disqualify people like Blooprint and Sinks, seeing as they've been banned for cheating when they're just chads. Most people don't have that problem, but yeah, if they have numerous bans for greifing, toxicity, and cheating, just don't bother. There are plenty of people that can cause drama that aren't that way.

it'd be silly to see this format but with teams that have a collective like, 1k hours just to see the differences, or potentially getting player povs when/if possible if players record and such.
either way, i absolutely love seeing how these unfold, always a treat, here's to hopefully many more :)

Yeah I agree with this, the plugin didn't work the way we thought but we decided to go with it in the moment

You might as well just listen to this video the camera work makes it impossible to really follow it. You need to remember what it's like for the viewer when you're looking around. So many big fights in launch and you were so busy trying to cover everything and see everything that was going on that as a viewer we didn't see hardly any of it. And if we did you are coooooonstantly looking around rather than focusing on what you're looking at.
It's a great idea and I followed the series so I enjoyed watching it but if I had come to this video out of the blue I would not have watched it all the way through. That's not being an arse just genuine criticism. It's frustrating to watch. Id rather get a real good view of one thing that happened over some all over the place view 20 things going on. Or get people in to record from different perspectives and take longer to edit the video with a higher quality finish rather than churning out videos that are this hard to watch.

A REALLY good builder would get windmills up right away to get batteries charging so they don’t NEED the windmills cuz they tend to go bye bye with mlrs strikes… and put most if not all the turrets inside the base!! This is all about getting to the tc and the more you can do to slow them down the better your odds of winning are… this was definitely the best competition though! This is what they ALL should’ve been like… but that’s a bit beyond your control sadly… hope to see you do another one of these cuz as people get more familiar with the structure the action/content should get better too! This video being an example of that.

Great video man, really cool concept. With all things considered you handled this really well. I have a couple ideas from a long time player/viewer of rust and gaming in general that I think could help take this to the next level. I'm sure you have thought of a lot of this and have constraints but, figured id share. The biggest thing I think would be more immersion. Record teams coms and incorporate a bit more of the back and forth coms with your commentary in the intense moments. This will make it feel like the viewer is much more engaged with the fight vs just spectating an event. I do think the commentary is great and necessary for setting the tone and keeping the theme on track. However, for long term engagement the mix of coms and potentially a more cinematic flair in the commentary I think would go a loong way for pushing the content further in the algorithm. Rust viewers really enjoy the movie style, so playing into that a bit will most definitely help. The recap edit in the intro was cool but, you could have grabbed much more engagement by stretching the intro with a well made cinematic feature displaying all of teams and their hours or something along those lines. Also, as far as discrepancies in the event goes(CC raging) don't break away too much from the script or in other words, you don't need to explain yourself. Do your absolute best to vet the teams involved and past that all you can do is move on the rest of the video. Giving the points to alone was a good call. Smaller teams are usually mush easier to work with and are much more tight knit in general. All in all you're doing great though and I look forward to watching more content, hope some of this helps!

I am late to the party just started watching this full series a couple of days ago I noticed in the last video there was a lot of people commenting from OT. I just found your channel not long ago as I've been playing Rust (4.5k hours now) and watching Rust creators for a while now and I have really enjoyed them! This one was great! I agree with you that I wouldn't allow any OT/CC members from joining any future events and be careful they don't try to squeeze in. If a clan has THAT many cheaters and bans among them for toxicity and other things, I don't believe that they aren't aware that people are cheating. Everyone knows how to check peoples accounts, etc. And you play with these people all the time and claim you have no idea? Reminds me of Camomo10 videos.
Keep up the great work, this was a banger of a video. I'm 39 and a US Army Vet, I'd love to find a good group to join up with and play like this. If you see this and can introduce me to anyone or if anyone is part of a group that could use another player, let me know!

Love the series! Question... Is it possible to implement an algorithm that can remove a random team member from each team say, every twenty minutes or so? Start with 8-man teams and after an hour, one member on each team just disappears? No way to determine which. A real Last Man Standing scenario. No winner declared if there is no true victor within 3 hours. Play scenarios until 4 Teams are victorious, then play a single match, again with no victor declared until only one Base/TC remains. The question of just who will disappear should really cause a sense of urgency within the teams.

Seems to me you were favoring a single team for the most part, and likely were involved in your scam.
KLAT WON BECAUSE THEY SHOWN TO BE THE MOST STRATEGICAL TEAM, THEY DOMINATED THE MISSILE STATION AND HAD A GOOD AND DEFENDABLE BASE, UNLIKE HUMBUGLE WHO ONLY LACKED TWO GOOD BUILDERS AND A DECENT STRATEGIST, BUT THEY SHOWN TO BE THE BEST IN PVP, IF IT WASN'T FOR THEIR MISTAKES HUMBUGLE WOULD HAVE WON, A ROUND OF APPLAUSE AND A HUG FOR ALL WHO MADE THIS AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIEN
Channel deserves more attention for the quality that goes into these vids, maybe try posting shorts (this video can be split up into 50 shorts without much effort)

I don't know. You don't see it from his PoV and the guy was running around back there for a minute so he could have already been aware that he was there and then just checked back for him after killing the previous guy
