Honestly i like the game so far, i started playing it this years because i didn't really feel like playing anymore and so far i been playing every time i can, hate to see that people just want to see the negative from something instead of the positive, if you always looking for a reason why NOT to play a game then you'll find every damn game boring, some of them are tho.

I love this game I played the beta. Me and my friends play for a while until they announced they wasn't going to update it. We just stop playing it is a really sad waste.
This is why im FULLY against online multiplayer. Cashing in is the ONLY objective, and you end up with this. Something that looks cool but has absolutely zero depth. An hour of opening cutscenes but gameplay is just rinse and repeat. Cuz you cant truly cash in if you have an ending.
I remember playing this game as the big tanky class. I had a shield and some overpowered abilities which allowed me to run around with my shield up and pretty much insta kill any enemy I ran into except big bosses. Ah, those were simpler times. And this game still sucks.

You can keep blaming EA all you want, but at least blame them for the right things, Anthem being a shit stained, bug ridden bullshit product is NOT on EA, that's on bioware, and EA pulling the plug for not seeing any monetary gain is just the nature of the beast, at that point they already had 7 years of development cost that they weren't going to get back because of how bad the game was, if you were a part of the board, you'd be fucking pissed too!

At least EA actually fixed Battlefront 2 and made it great before Permanently Abandoning it the fact that they didnt do the same with game is just mind boggling this game had so much potential I remember watching the trailer saying this is gonna be one of my favorite games it looks like a lil bit of everything halo, destiny, open world, cool monsters, flying, badass suits, cool abilities etc such a sad feeling getting robbed of what could’ve been an amazing game
Great gameplay and combat, terrible endgame.
great combat? that was the most mindless shit ive ever seen, even more mindless than call of duty
Why would you spread lies like this
Yeah this game would have still been enjoyable if end game wasn't asscheeks
@@dumbguychannel445 have you actually played it? The combo system is one the best and most interesting gameplay mechanics I’ve seen in any game. The high end weapons and abilities all had unique perks that made finding combinations to fill out your build a lot of fun. It just lacked any endgame content to use it on.
If you were mindlessly shooting adds and what not, you didn’t make it very far into the combat or build crafting systems at all. Not to say that I blame you, the story was quite bad and it was buggy at launch. I know many people that dropped it before actually getting to experience it.
Yes Agreed
Got this game in October of 2022. I actually really enjoy it, especially now that I'm max level and have several Legendary Javelins. It was great. I'll admit, EA cancelling the next one sucked to hear. But it's a fun game to play when I'm bored.
This game is much more populated on Xbox.
Angry Joe covered this perfectly. Essentially the entire design was scrapped several times during development and what we got was slapped together at the last second, hence all the problems and lack of content. Thanks to the developer leads and EA for killing this game before it even got the chance.
Angry Joe should cover his mouth
@@steelbear2063 He was great 8 years ago... but so was the Nostalgia Critic.
they're both kind of long in the tooth now. Even AVGN has gotten stale for me though he lasted a lot longer.
@@steelbear2063 your mom should have cover her bussy
Hahaha EA did nothing to this game, don't be delusional. It was all Bioware Magic.
When devs spend hours making cutscenes just so some dude can skip them all 😭
Ironically enough playing with friends is probably the only fun you can have in this game.
“Settings….uninstall”😂😂😂 best part 😂
Bruh I recently downloaded it again, and I really wish it would’ve gotten the content it needed because it’s so much fun to play
This game deadass had the deepest customization I've ever seen, but I didn't even beat the story. It went down to like 2,000 players one week after launch.
Deepest customisation???
What the hell have you not been playing?
Warframe is better. APB Reloaded is better. Black Desert Online is better.
@@bigbalticbox they aren’t saying it’s the best customization in the gaming world calm down. They were just saying it has the deepest customization THEY have ever seen not that you have ever seen.
This had the potential to be one of the most badass games ever created honestly. Very sad to see it completely abandoned
Anthem promised so much but delivered so little, it's like being a kid excited for christmas and unwrapping the present to find socks.
You know i absolutely loved anthem. i awaited it for so long and loved it when it came out. I am highly disappointed by EA for cancelling anymore development on it as it was so much fun to play
wtf is wrong with people like you? what do you play besides this? the new FIFA every year?
@@garysmalls8724 HOW DARE people enjoy a game they like am i right?^The fucking AUDACITY of someone enjoying something you dont. Dear god grow up and go do your homework ;)
Can you blame them? Bioware did nothing for 6 years, and were shocked when they were expected to have actually made progress on making a game.
When your teachers says you are wasting your potential, this is what they meant. Its like having a mansion just to put a coffee table inside and block off 3/4 of the rooms.
I remember playing this a lot and getting to a accidental point of being way to overpowered but it was almost given to you even though you'd become insanely powerful so it ended up being so much fun. It's so annoying they cancelled 2.0 it looked like there was a lot of potential
"video games are for nerds" spoken in the most stereotypical nerd voice ive ever heard in my life
Man this could have been so good… I wish there was something we could do
Would love if bioware was to work on it again. If you look at the player stats it's not even that dead tbh
Remember, Mass Effeect was put on ice for years because of this game.
Anthem: What if we made Destiny with Flying and no story
Also Anthem: Yes
“Dauntless made the cut!!” 💀
Plays anthem for the first time guy: this is a good game
Kevduit and a anthem player: you shall no pain
Anthem is pretty peak but they forgot about the game
Anthem had so much promise it's an absolutely beautiful game, the controls were really good the different classes were all relatively unique with amazing builds, the seemless flight was epic it's so fun for a few days.
What's there is absolutely amazing they just didn't put enough into it
Your definition of friends is slighly different than mine. I will mercilessly mock my friends, but making them play Anthem is a line to far.
The Colossus ult is a 3 shot heavy cannon, the Storm ult is 3 meteors that strike an area, each with a different effect, the ranger ult fires several shoulder-mounted rockets, and the Interceptor ult is just really cool knives.
I wish they hadn't EA'd this game, I was looking forward to it's big update.
Anthem: when literally no part of a development team knows what’s going on.
It feels... empty. Flying, amazing environment, sounds seem good, effects seems amazing, but... It feels... Empty. There could be more. A lot more. Story, quests, content... This was supposed to be an open world. Large, unexplored region... But it feels like a single player game where you finish the stuff and close the game. Sad.
"I mean, *DAUNTLESS* made the cut!"
Me playing and loving Dauntless as I watch:
Love you Kev also I personally liked anthem alot
Anthem reminds me of a mix between warframe and destiny 😂
Unpopular opinion: Anthem is actually a really fun game
Sure was
it really was, got max level and all
Good game bad company.
This game has sooo much potential but they just flush it down the drain it is actually pretty good once you get into it
It’s like Mass Effect without the great story, intriguing choices, or compelling characters.
Like Mass Effect Andromeda then?
@@flagrantmastrshake Hah, good one. Also, yes, exactly........ :(
lmfao We're approaching six minutes in this video and you still have not successfully started a match. lmfao
10/10 gaming experience right here. lmfao
Exactly, its my fav game ever. I just wish it was handled better
"hate to see that people just want to see the negative from something instead of the positive"
And here we go again. The famous excuse. You can't handle people criticizing a game (did you know that criticizing also isn't only pointing out the negative in something?) you like, therefore they must be people who look to thrash any game like good ol' haters.
Grow up.
“We’re on hard mode so if you die in real life you die in game”…..I think that’s how it works normally
this game launched on my birthday. despite the multitude of glitches, bad decisions, and poor optimization i liked it more than destiny 1 & 2.
Flying in super fun. I always come to anthem Just to fly around
Honestly I’ve always had fun with it. It gave a sense of uniqueness that you don’t see other games represent at least hardly often
So much potential wasted with this game. I stuck with it for a while but it just makes me sad now. The flight alone was sooooo fun and really unique for a shooter game. Hope we get something similar one day.
Anthem was buttcheeks flying was Garbage it was little more then transportation like the sparrows in destiny this game was depressing garbage loot and weapons wack ass supers
@@firelord4662 I respectfully disagree with your opinion.
You can disagree but thats why it's dead and forgotten trashhhh
@@firelord4662 lmao
I LOVE ANTHE.! Still play it too!! I can't believe just how many people STILL PLAY ANTHEM!
I'm sure everyone can agree anthem could've been a really good game... Thanks EA
The game has so much potential, all the mechanics are so fun.
I think if enough resources were put In to it it'd be great
It's not forcing your friends if you kidnapped there families :-)
6:32 "You die in real life you die in game" - Kevduit
This game looks like it'd be so good if it had real effort put into it.
There was effort. Just a lot of stupid decisions done with said effort.
Imagine management *actually* said to the team that they dont want them looking to games like destiny as a blueprint for the looter shooter/endgame aspect of the game…. When that is the very thing that would have GURANTEED its success!!! 😳🤬 see how stupid people making stupid decisions can ruin an entire project.
It’s almost like there’s no need to put any effort into making games like this because people will preorder them like crazy
The flying was fun. That's about it, as he says.
I managed to put close to 100 hours in this game and was holding out for the "major" update which never came, it had potential and im sort of sad it didnt get the time it needed
"I forced my friends to play anthem 3 years later" is the entire reason I am watching this. I am impressed
I have faith that one day, people will all together stop giving EA money, and they will wither and die, like all of the franchises and companies they have murdered.
You have too much faith in the regular customers.
Imagine a boss fight being so terrible and being introduced so bad that you can unironically say "Wait, there's a boss?" 💀
This had the potential to rival Destiny, but EA had to make sure that didn't happen by monetizing the shit out of it with zero endgame.
no, stop blaming the publishers and romanticizing the devs, bioware was at least just as much at fault, if not more, then EA, bioware relied far too long on their "bioware magic"
and this game is the living proof of that, they didn't even know wtf they wanted internally until the reveal trailer showed what they were building.
if you don't believe me, go look up Jason Schreier's article on it.
@@shadowsketch926 oh so don't blame the publisher that owns the developer? the publisher that didn't even bother to test the game out before putting their stamp of approval and publishing it? no, I think I will continue to blame them, thanks.
@@ThinkPositiveDude the testing is to be done by the devs themselves at first, and secondly by an outside group, but forget all that, are you seriously telling me with all the fuck ups bioware made, all the crunch hours they forced on their people, you're putting the blame on EA? despite the fact that bioware had 7 years to figure out wtf they were doing, and it took them 5 to come to a concrete answer? that's not on EA, that's on bioware!
I remember getting the game shortly after it got out as a birthday present, but since I also bought myself Far Cry New Dawn at the time Anthem was lying untouched in my closet, where I totally forgot about it. A year later I found it and started the game, it was March 2020 and the hub was still full with christmas decoration. I tried to play the game but in all seriousnes I couldn't bring myself to play more than 2 or 3 hours.

Go back to gears of war 3
God even watching a one year old video about this game is a chore...and I love Kevduit D:
Three things they could have done to save this .
1 ) get rid of the overheat mechanic and let us fly unlimited
2 ) give us infinite ammo
3 ) let us unlock all the legendary gear on any difficulty level
This would have made it a lot more fun to play and have been more like what they showed in the trailers
What made me chuckle is that if you change the default helmet of your javelin you will never see your character. The other Helmets don't open up during cut scenes and only the default does XD
This game genuinely hurt me, i had such high hopes for it. When it first launched i thought it was going to be the next big thing. Its like watching a pet get old and you know he doesnt have long
The other players talking to their own streams "OH CHAT! There's players here!!"
I so badly wanted this to be a good game. The concept, the suits, the build crafting, so much potential so badly utilized
Kevduit: DAUNTLESS even made the cut
Me who enjoys dauntless: well damn... If its garbage he should play it
When a story driven studio try to make a bloodsucking action rpg
Every single time i see that Anthem opening bit, i still expect to see the Netflix logo and hear the sound..........
Oh Frostbite engine, if you didn’t exist, we WOULD have a complete Anthem experience.
When you try to make The Division but with flying mech suits, nerfed loot drops and zero content
