- Doncaster station is situated on the ECML between London Kings Cross and Leeds/York. The station also lays at the junction of lines between Sheffield and Cleethorpes and Hull.
The station is managed by LNER and sees services operated by several different train operators:
Long distance services are operated by LNER using Class 800-1's Diesel Electric Multiple Units with services operating towards: London Kings Cross, Leeds, Harrogate, York, Hull, Newcastle, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness. Class Intercity Class 225 sets still operate on some London Kings Cross, Leeds and York although these aren't very frequent
Northern Rail operate a range of services using Class 150/155/158/195/170 Diesel Multiple Units and Class 331 Electric Multiple Units. NT services head to a range of destination's Including: Sheffield, Leeds, Ardwick, Scunthorpe, Hull and Scarborough.
Grand Central operate services using Class 180 and Class 221 Diesel Multiple Units, with these services heading towards: Bradford, Sunderland or London Kings Cross
First Hull Trains operate here using Class 803 Diesel Electric Multiple Units, with these services heading towards Hull or London Kings Cross.
East Midlands Railway operate a few services towards Peterborough and Lincoln using a mix of Class 158 and Class 170 Diesel Multiple Units. Class 156 DMU's also operated these services up until 2022.
