  • Larry Pender, owner of Jubilee HoneyBee Co, sits down with Paul Ward to share his 20+ years of beekeeping experience. In this episode, discover why Larry drove his hives almost 2,000 miles to Minnesota, and what makes for a good flow of honey. Listeners may be surprised to learn that it's not just honey that supports Jubilee HoneyBee's employees!
Curious about starting your own backyard honey bee operation? Larry assures us it's very possible; hives are available for purchase as well as bees by the pound!. Learn about specialty honeys and why there are so many in California. Also, what is the biggest threat to the honeybee and can it be stopped? You'll have to listen to find out!

I grew up in Idaho where the taters are grown, the first week of January the Temp is like OMG! As a young man, I worked for a beekeeper and extracted more honey than I had ever seen in my life. Now I have twenty hives behind our house because it helps with my health issues.
