I think for the price this is a great camera to start your streaming career without going broke with the equipment you both, can't afford, and don't have the time to learn.
It is a disappointment that your PS5 webcam feed is placed over your play screen. It is also ironic that your OBS webcam feed blocked the PS5 webcam feed the entire video because you couldn't see it.
Thank you for talking about it, I was so frustrated about a green screen I bought online and thought something was wrong with the item. Your video helped me understand that it’s a software issue and hopefully can be patched up from Sony.
I use alot of the PS5 gameplay recording setting for some of my gameplay if I have a webcam can I also get my face on my gameplay or does the camera only work for live streaming
I haven’t heard of any PS5 feature that allows facial recognition login. The camera is only used for two things: to see yourself while streaming off the PS5 (it doesn’t work when recording clips), and for use with PSVR. It really, really underwhelming.

How did you connect a different camera though that wasn’t the camera from Sony?? I want to use my own Razor Kyo camera on the ps5 and I haven’t bought it yet but how would I connect it on my ps5, I have a pc and monitor by the way that I play my ps5 on

To stream from the PS5 you need the PS5 cam. I’m using a capture card to record on PC with a Logitech webcam. Both cameras are next to each other on my monitor. 👍

@OhNuzzy I hope so but wouldn’t hold your breath. They seem very slow on updating stuff. More likely an extension to the existing Twitch or Discord integrations. I’d LOVE to see OBS make its way to the PS5. But I know that’s a pipe dream.
I think mines defective. No matter what I do I've tried everything I stay whited out . You barley see my face its pitch white. I've messed with lighting I've messed with settings it's awful

Mine looks absolutely horrible. It's trying to boost for low lighting it seems. I have lit the room better and you just can't bring the brightness down enough to even be usable. Extremely disappointed. It just blows out skin my skin color
I was waiting for so long to get a PS5 and I finally got one for my son to be honest I was disappointed it's like the same as a PS4 the only difference to me it's the graphics it has almost the same features as PS4 and on the PS5 you can't change the background with a dynamic theme but my son loved it so I guess it was worth it

If you use a blue screen instead of Green it works much better. I wish Sony would document that.

you can use ps4 camera on it, i use it on mine. Sony will send you a free conversion cable for it as well.

Alternative is game capture device and a better webcam. I still bought it, but I haven’t used it since.

Yeah. It’s tuned for very low light conditions. With my studio lights on it does the same thing. I have to turn them all off for it to look good.
