- After a month and a half of plentiful rain, the ground has finally dried up enough to run across it. And with wheat about to come out of dormancy, it's going to be craving some nitrogen. So Matt and Andy quickly gear up to get some wheat fertilized. Kelly shows off and award they received and Matt finally gets back a critical piece of equipment after being in the shop for 5 months.

Nothing like a good fork lift! We use to have a yellow massey furguson (sp) that was dangerous and only one guy on the farm could run it.

Backhoe and forklift are the two handiest things on a farm.
I keep hearing about low input from Matt. I've watched poor Kelly bust her butt season after season and Im not sure I'd call that low input!😊 Congratulations on your success! It don't come easily!

Yes we will use stream bars on second application. Used TeeJet 7 way this time because we actually want to get more on the wheat plant because of the insecticide we were putting out.

Thanks Matt for the nearly spring tour. Very informative and much appreciated. Hope all continues well for you, yeah I see where our Agricultural Admin's help for the upcoming crop year is about on par with the rest of the Biden admin. Could be in for a rough time. Regards the little Cat fork lift, the company does makes great engines for their equipment.
I'll tell you a story. I had a friend in the construction business that I worked with once in a while. His brother-in-law brought him a jug of Roundup weather Max and a jug of milk line pipe line soap. He was using the wrong jug he was using the Roundup in his weed sprayer to do his cleaning on his construction equipment and his trucks he was telling me what great job this did but it was killing his grass where he washed by the shop. Roundup is soap. Apparently it does the best job .LOL!!! LMAO!!!😅😅
Yes Roundup was originally designed as a cleaner

Can I please get some prayers, I just found out I have early stage pulmonary fibrosis and I have a 4cm tumor on my thyroid and to be honest I'm scared to death right now. Please don't take this as asking for anything I'm not other than love and prayers if you believe. I have a lot of doctors and test coming up in the next few weeks. But from what the hospitalist and family Dr said it's very serious and depending on how fast it progresses I may only have 3-5 years left, which seems like a lot but in all honesty it's not that long. All I want is to see my son graduate. I'm sorry for the rambling but if I could get prayers it would mean the world. Much love and many thanks.

Yes my prayers go out to you but don't let them kill you I seen the doctors do with my dad 15 years ago they treated him like a guinea pig and he told me if I get this let it take you I'm 56 years old he passed away at 66 years old at one time he was cancer free in the 6 years he was battling it. But it came back with vengeance. You got to keep your chin up and keep smiling don't let it get you down. Hope the best and you will win
Yes Matt you're supposed to jump up 10% of your pressure when you are spraying 28% for the density of it. It's not the same as spraying herbicides
Neighbors had the same forklift in their warehouse same thing happened antifreeze just came up with all these problems and yeah cat of course it must be a built-in feature on them excellent forklift when they run
I use milk line that the dairy farmers use you mix it with water a Solo cup in 2 gallons in a weed sprayer, spray it dry do the whole side of the trailer when you're done grab the pressure washer and start where started it's not detrimental to rubber paint plastic plus it is environmentally friendly and of course with milk it is food grade, start up the bottom and work your way up though with the weed sprayer because it will streak if you start at the top plus it does a wonderful job to the windows on truck

Get a good coat of wax on the painted trailer, it should be easier to clean the next time.

Would it help if you could store some of your crop where you can plant some of it the next year? I know that you probably couldn't do it every year but would it help some?
We save our wheat and plant it. Our technology agreements do not allow us to save corn and soybean seed to plant
Would you paint the whole cotton picker or is it just certain areas on the picker that needs to be fixed so that it can be ceramic coated
