In many cases concerning C0265 DTC, removing the hydraulic portion is not necessary. Just loosen the bracket & remove the EBCM.

I have a 2001 grand am gt with U1040 ABS code, you think its worth reworking the solder joints? I actually have two of them maybe Ill open up the spare I have.
If you have it open, solder it up. The other one will probably need it too. They all come on the assemble line soldered by robots/ovens.
Did this fix the problem?
It did. The past winter we had extremely cold weather. Winds were making it -40 C. The chev was outside all day and night because I got a new pickup. Before, it would fail in -10 C

Yes, I re-soldered the coils. I held the solder tip along time on the thick connectors to really make sure they got a strong solder
