Kat Theo OLIVE OIL!! 😍😍😍 I've been to Madrid, Malaga, Sevilla, and Granada. And it's no joke the flavor and rich smell of the olive oil. I could seriously smell it the air. Ugh so delicious. Came back to the US and was like eww what kinda fake olives/olive oil is this?
I swear I miss the public transportation and how easy it is to get around there, and looking at the way the people dressed and how healthy the food is....I just miss everything lol
I was Reading a blog about a girl a few days ago and you gave one of her reccomendations. I asked you on one video how to get to Spain. I was reffering to when you have a low income. I am older then 30. Studying, no child and living in Europe and I have knowledge about the language. But I think I need to be more assertive, since I have almost everything in me field. I juist applied for the fun on a vacancy in Spain for a vacation job. But I got a mail and got scared. The first thing in the mail was a knife in downgrade direction in a piece of meat. It was a restaurant in Barcelona. I did not reply on it. Can you talk about the safety of the cities, even though you did a video about this of Madrid(pick pockets) Also the girl from the blog dit not reccommend using public transportation but more carpooling, wat could you say about that?
aww i feel you girl! pan con tomate is sooooo good. 🤤 also, when you are living in Europe, you know how easy it is to get around and that is truly amazing!
I miss a lot of things in Spain such as; Sunday lunch with La familia, Supermercado, olive oil and paprika from the farmers in the mountains, milk that you don't refrigerate until open. Oops, trying to go dairy free these days. In any event, the list goes on. Thanks for sharing Kat!!!
The culture shock is real, Kat ! I was in Mexico house sitting for 6 months and when I got back I was like "why's everybody working so much??" Are you in Nebraska for a long time, or just a pit stop?
I KNOW!! I miss how lax everything is. But I am no where permanently but I got back in school so I do need a home base for a little or I go crazy. Still traveling a ton though! :)
I miss having time to sit in the sun and read books at Retiro Park. I miss sangria and cheap beer/2 euro wine. I REALLY miss chorizo🤤🤤🤤🤤I miss cheap clothes. I miss my Spanish friends. I miss the crazy clubs...damn that was fun. Kat let's set up a group trip and go back!
I'm also an American living in Spain. I agree with everything you said! I currently live in the Canary Islands, but I used to live in Madrid and it is awesome I've lived there for a few months back in 2017. I go back to visit friends every few months. The transportation system rocks! Also being a black person is exactly how it described it. I'm the only African American on this Spanish Island and I get tons of questions about being a black American!
I’ve been binging your Madrid videos and it makes me miss the city so much, I lived there 2017/18 as an Auxiliar and I’m really really considering going back to live there again haha
Leaving Madrid in 1 month after 2 years of living here. Trying to prepare myself! Echaré de menos a España! Ps. Love your videos and your vibe. Wish we could have been friends while you were in Madrid haha
I love this video! I've been home for 3 weeks now and I really miss Spain! Kat I wish you taught Skype classes, it's hard to find people to practice spanish with.
@@KatTheo yes, I worked with someone for 8 weeks in Spain and the person I'm working with now will take a break for a while because she gets married next month. The classes have been helpful.
Your Spanish accent is hilarious. I currently am working setting up a business in Spain. I was never interested in at all. But now they are a progressive country for business so i am excited.
Hey Kat! Stumbled upon your channel and just wanted to shout out and say that I'm with you! Especially missing the social/community aspect of Spain. Currently in Austin, TX after being in Madrid for 6 years.
If you came up to me and started talking to me I wouldn’t think you were weird!!!! What are you going to work in now? I have a feeling you will be going back to Spain or somewhere where there is more adventure!!! I love your videos.
I am getting more in Freelance and have some other little projects. Some marketing and thinking about published my second book :) AND THANK YOU JENNY. I may be back in europe next month and make a pit stop in Madrd. We will see :)
One word - italki. You’ll be essentially paying for a friend. But - you won’t “lose” your language! I’m Madrid bound this summer - been binging on your videos!!
Kat Theo I’ll be there for about 8 months. Like you said, it is the perfect location for traveling cheap. I’m planning to use Madrid as my home base. I’m beyond excited 😆
If you would like to use your Spanish more, move to southern California. Example, San Diego has population that is about 30% Spanish speaking. If you build your brand and sell some courses, you could probably afford to live here.
@@MrScout15 I had been there long enough and was becoming stagnant. It got to the point where I felt if I didn't leave I would never leave. Which is fine when I am 40 but not right now!
You probably should have stayed in Spain. The United States is collapsing and racial relations have never been worse. I lived in Spain for three years.
You're right!! I'm Spanish and live in the US (Los Angeles) and I'm sick and tired of all racism and discrimination I've been getting all these years...specially from the wasps and red### Trump followers.
