Surviving 117°F Heat & Conquering the Rocks at Joshua Tree National Park!

Join us on an incredible journey through the stunning landscapes of Joshua Tree National Park! 🌵
✨ My brother and I kicked off our trip with a visit to this unique national park, and despite the scorching high of 117°F (Official recording that day, but our car read 119°F), our spirit for adventure never wavered.

🧗‍♂️ Watch us tackle the famous rock formations, such as Jumbo Rocks and Skull Rock, marvel at the striking geology, and explore the fascinating nooks and crannies of these iconic spots.
Joshua Tree National Park is home to a variety of unique flora and fauna. Discover the famous Joshua Trees (Yucca brevifolia), which are actually a type of yucca plant and can live for hundreds of years. Learn about the park's diverse wildlife, including the elusive desert tortoise, the iconic bighorn sheep, and over 250 bird species like the greater roadrunner and the red-tailed hawk.
The park's landscape is a geological wonder, shaped by powerful natural forces over millions of years. We'll delve into the fascinating history of the region, from the formation of the rugged mountains and twisted rock formations through tectonic activity and erosion to the creation of the park's iconic monzogranite boulders. Learn about the different rock types you’ll see, such as gneiss and schist, and how they contribute to the park’s dramatic scenery.
While we hiked Ryan Mountain, unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera with me to capture the stunning views from the summit. But the adventure and memories made were absolutely worth it!
