Live: Making Colour with Molly Bonnell l Hospital Rooms Digital Art School

Molly Bonnell is an artist, designer and researcher. Her multidisciplinary practice explores themes of health, care, and sustainability.
This workshop will explore ideas of sustainability and using everyday materials in unexpected ways. Participants will mix their own paints using pigments found in food and the medieval technique of egg tempera. Participants will use these paints to create their own unique prints.
You will need:
* Spirulina (blue pigment)
* Spirulina (green pigment)
* Egg yolk
* Water in container
* Paper towels
* Plastic spoon if that's easier)
* Rubber roller
* Small acrylic sheet (this is for rolling and mixing the paints)
* Paper
* Paintbrush
* Small bowl or cup

Hospital Rooms is a London-based arts and mental health charity that radically transforms inpatient mental health settings with contemporary art.
While our usual work in mental health units is on hold, we have joined forces with internationally acclaimed artists to lead art workshops remotely from their studios and homes.
The artists leading these sessions have exhibited in many of the world's best galleries and have taught in some of the country's best art schools, including Royal Academy Schools, Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins. Over the coming weeks they will introduce you to their creative practice, help guide you to create your own artworks and answer questions along the way.
These workshops are for inpatient mental health units, as well as people accessing community mental health services and the wider public.
