How to Make Your Own Digital T-Shirt Mockups Using Your iPhone and Canva

- Digital mockups are GREAT marketing tools for your t-shirt business. You can use them to pre-sell new designs, take a poll to determine what to launch next, or use them to show off different variations of shirt designs.
I use them in my shop, on social media, and in email newsletters. And the best part is - I make them myself! I take the photos using my iPhone, edit in the Lightroom Mobile app, and do some editing in Canva to remove the background and add overlays. Easy!

How would you make this work with sublimation? It won’t do white and I’m needing a way to do this without actually printing it on a shirt and when it’s pressed on a shirt it’s more of a vintage look I stead of very vibrant.
You could use the transparency tool in Canva to make it more opaque, or look at the Effects tools and see if there’s something that might work.

How do you save the final image if you want to put in in an Etsy shop, do you download it as a PNG or a JPG, I thought Etsy only takes JPG's? Can the finished image automatically go into your Etsy shop from Canva or do you have to save it in a folder and upload from there. I am a bit confused about this process. Can someone please help. It looks like the background remover in canva is a paid subscription. Do you pay for a canva pro subscription?
Hi I am just starting out and want to sell t-shirts and a lot of different colors. If I do the mock-up photos like you were doing does that mean I would have to purchase a T-shirt and all of those colors. I guess what I'm asking is there a way to digitally change the T-shirt color using a Swatch from a particular brand that I'm selling.
You can find packs of all the colors for a specific shirt on Etsy. They're pretty reasonable too. Try searching for (MODEL) plus the words mockup or color chart. Like Bella 3001 color chart, for instance.

@@barbra429 Also, if you need a specific model, you can always message the shop. I just got a bunch of things from a great shop, LuxyMocks, and he said he's going to do a set of the Next Level tanks for me. Super great guy. Salex Mockups has some great ready-made mockups too. I think you probably only need four-six mockups per shirt model and then a size chart and color chart plus your terms, extra info, and a card with your social media / website if you want to include that. Cassiy Johnson has a great channel hear on YT, and she just did a great video on mockups (ua-cam.com/video/-5rxiuu2fyM/v-deo.html). Sorry to write a book--hope this helps! I'm just starting. Like green as grass. 🙂
when I remove my background my item changes texture looking why is that?
Does anyone have ant tips for making the shoes, jeans etc look more realistic and not like they are floating in the air. This is the problem I am running into. I have photoshop and I know how to use Canva too.
How can you make the items you add to the tee shirt like the design, or the shoes etc, look natural and look like one layer instead of the fake look that some mockups have, basically how do you flatten and blend everything?
You can change the transparency of the graphic to about 90%.

Can someone please please tell me how this process is done. So if I take a picture of a T-shirt as done in the video, what do I do if I want that same look but with a different color T-shirt. Do I have to take and buy each different color T-shirt and take a picture of it?
Yes. You photograph each shirt separately.
@@KirstenThompson oh okay. I was hoping there was some way to cut the initial t-shirt out of the picture using some type of software like Photoshop and then put a Swatch of the other colors in that cut out and not have to take so many pictures if that makes sense.
Which tshirts would you recommend buying that are super soft/soft that would be good for heat transfer vinyl? I am having a hard time finding wholesale shirt locations that provide quality (but not too expensive soft shirts). Awesome mockup video though! This is really going to help me.
I don’t use HTV but I love District triblends from SanMar, Bella Canvas triblends, and Comfort Colors for a heavier tee.
