The United States and the United Kingdom have historically enjoyed and maintained a special relationship rooted in common history and shared values. On May 7, 2007, President Bush cited shared values as a unique element between the two countries: Our two nations hold fundamental values in common. We honor our traditions and our shared history. We recognize that the strongest societies respect the rights and dignity of the individual. We understand and accept the burdens of global leadership. And we have built our special relationship on the surest foundations -- our deep and abiding love of liberty. -- President George W. Bush, May 7, 2007 The term “special relationship” was first coined by Prime Minister Winston Churchill as early as 1944 to describe the close allyship and cooperation between the United States and the United Kingdom. In 1946, he went on to emphasize that the good of the special relationship between the two countries, would be realized by and beneficial to the world: Neither the sure prevention of war, nor the continuous rise of world organization will be gained without what I have called the fraternal association of the English-speaking peoples... a special relationship between the British Commonwealth and Empire and the United States….There is however an important question we must ask ourselves. Would a special relationship between the United States and the British Commonwealth be inconsistent with our over-riding loyalties to the World Organization? I reply that, on the contrary, it is probably the only means by which that organization will achieve its full stature and strength.
JD Vance (VP elect) said in an interview yesterday that the US incoming administration does not want to build an alliance with a first world country he said - the UK - if the UK government/police continue to prosecute free speech.
We don’t need unions, they work for government. We learn our rights and we don’t need unions. Under REFORM UK we will always be able to get fair pay rises without unions. Wages will naturally be better with REFORM UK. We won’t have inflation anymore because we will have a strong economy.
I pray this is gonna be a one term Labour government. I just hope we can focus the vote. I would've voted Reform if we'd had a candidate for Cambridge in the General Election. Can't believe I used to be a member of the Labour Party. The scales have definitely fallen in the past few years!

The GOP is no longer the party of elites, but of ordinary working people, and the party has the trifecta in the United States: the presidency (executive branch), and majorities in the House of Reps and the Senate (legislative branch). In addition, conservative judges are in the majority in the Supreme Court (judicial branch).

I feel strong in thinking that Reform UK are going to smash Labour and Tories at the next election!
At this point I don't see them lasting one term.

If Labour serve only one term, that means you get the tories back, the ones who wrecked the country for 14 years. Reform have zero chance.
Labour and their supporters need to get a grip and grow up.

@theodoresmith5272 a one where you aren't treated as an employee or pawn. But that's America and I'm not American so I don't really care.
@martyn4422 so why say anything if you don't care? I am American and I know what trump and America have in store for labour...
