I like the Japanese family reaction - scary 😢 at first then when they started to toss the 'yu sheng' laughing loudly and asked for big house and good salary 😂😂.
Ghib Ojisan has a funny bone. I was eating n burst out laughing when he said it was tiring tossing yusheng. That comment was totally unexpected. 😂 The Japanese husband seemed like a foodie boy whose face lit up everytime he tried a snack. He seemed to like all of them hahaha. Overall, this was an enjoyable video to watch. ❤
Awesome video this! Always enjoy reactions from our tourists. They get to taste some unique snacks. Great work Ghib-san! Keep goin' bro! More prosperity in the new year for you and family.
When I was young, my grandma bought some sea cucumbers and soaked them in a plastic container under the sink. I saw them and went "eeeeee" and ran away out of the kitchen and didn't dare to come back inside.
Awesome video! Love to see tourist trying new food they have never tried before. My favorite CNY snack would be the crab stick snack because it taste so darn good and the umami of it! It goes really well with beer too! Awesome video! Thanks Ghib buddy!
Hi Ghib,, あけましておめでとう御座います🍾㊗️、今年も よろしくお願いします,, will look at the umami ,, wah i cant wait to do yusheng, i used to do it in the restaurant,, but now we do it at home so can shout louder no problem, Huat Ah Huat Ah like that 😅, so fun,, nice vlog Ghib, 👍😀🎉🍾㊗️, i like pinaple tart, we call it Nastar in indo,,
The food from umamill looks very fresh and delicious indeed ❤️🤩 wow and Crystal jade came up with a very good line to kickstart the yusheng. It rhymes! 🤓🤩 魚生上台,恭喜發財❤🎉
I saw kuih kapit with durian, chocolate and peanut butter at Sheng Siong. Had bought them and tried. Very creative and taste also no bad. Huat ah and happy CNY to all !
I totally enjoyed myself while I was watching video! Absolutely loved watching your Japanese friends toss the yu sheng and the reactions to CNY snacks Thank you for another wonderful video, Ghib-san!
Hope there is a sequel to this episode. Maybe other cny delights like chinese sausage, melon seeds, peanut cake and love letters, fancier one like wax duck or duck potato crackers
Do try the arrowhead chips. They are those potato like chips you see packed in bottles that can be found in local bakeries and NTUC too. Once you start, you won't stop!
im going to japan during golden week, was thinking to share some Singapore snacks with the people of japan hotel staffs, hopefully some new friends i make there etc. These are some good ideas for me to bring there. any other suggestions please.
Huat Ah! (and hence wasting food) was not the culture in Singapore 30 years ago. When i was a kid, Yu Sheng was only taken by Cantonese and we would just wish something like progress in studies for students or peace in the family. Into the 90s, the custom was spread to all chinese dialects and i start hearing people saying huat ah!
Its a culture to toss yusheng but its not a culture to toss it liked this.... u can do it the gentle/careful way instead of tossing it out... move it up

I like the Japanese family reaction - scary 😢 at first then when they started to toss the 'yu sheng' laughing loudly and asked for big house and good salary 😂😂.

Just a suggestion, you should let them try the sweeter and stronger taste later. as it will affect the taste buds for the next item.

Happy CNY 🍍🍍🍍
Happy CNY😆
Do try the arrowhead chips. They are those potato like chips you see packed in bottles that can be found in local bakeries and NTUC too. Once you start, you won't stop!

Greeat video!!
The prawn rolls are product of Indonesia
I miss CNY and pineapple tarts..
Do you know that for the small sachet bak kwa, before you open the sachet, soak in hot water for 5-10s then open up to eat, it will taste better.
Really!?
really meh
Different viewpoints about Chinese festival.
Happy Upcoming "CHINESE" Lunar New Year of the Dragon 🐲 to all ethnic Chinese in Singapore.
im going to japan during golden week, was thinking to share some Singapore snacks with the people of japan hotel staffs, hopefully some new friends i make there etc. These are some good ideas for me to bring there. any other suggestions please.
😂 didi's face at 10:44 HAHAHA
Huat ar!!!🧧🎏🎍
Huat!!
Huat ah! Jeephun lang lai liao!
oh you forgot to give them the love letters. That to me and pineapple tarts are the first thing kids eat during chinese new year when we are young.
Letting them have extra spicy prawn rolls is not appropriate as they are beginners.🤣🤣🤣

👍
I love Japanese and Indian snacks.
Money money money! 😝
Hai sheng, sounds like birth, husband looks at wife goes 'yeah baby'!!!
How to torture people by giving treats? Give them kuih bangkit to eat without any water. 😂
The Merlion reopened already ah?
Yep! 👍
Hahaha....you're teaching me a lot, even a Chinese Singaporean also don't know the meaning 😛 oops!
MY and SG cny food are the same 😊
Surprised that Japanese with all their amazing seafood cuisine do not have sea cucumber as a popular cuisine.
Its a culture to toss yusheng but its not a culture to toss it liked this.... u can do it the gentle/careful way instead of tossing it out... move it up
HUAT ah !!!!!!!!!!
