I could convert a van to that spec for max £20k using top quality products plus full seitz windows which are far better quality than the ones used plus full solar and lithium set up. So that’s £60k. He’s correct questioning £90k for a van conversion.
@@stevebennett6727 Yes, you probably could convert it yourself for £20-£25K. However, the company has to pay the wages and pension contributions of the staff at the company as well as the price including 20% VAT on top of that. Hi Nick, And thank you for this nice show of this Knaus Boxdrive 680 ME also a very nice campervan that travels four guest but its more a couples van even when its possible to make a extra bed in the front of the camper I love the bathroom with that folding wall so you can make a full shower great Thanks again nick a very nice show 👍👍👍👍
Hi Nick, I would be curious to know what your opinion is between the makes of base chassis are, fiat, MAN, mercedes, ford, Peugeot, hymer. For example, service and maintenance costs, eg replacing brake discs and pads all round. What they are like to drive, mpg. For the various makes of fittings, is the soundproofing similar or does it vary for sleeping? Thanks, I really enjoy your videos!
I could quite happily tour France or Scotland for a few months in there with my wife and two dogs. The only thing that is missing for me is an oven/grill.
I couldn’t see, necessary, nay essential, cup/bottle holders in the cab? The transit has two each for driver and passenger. You can never have too many 😅.
Nice and compact, no licence issues but what I would do in any of these is to lose a cupboard on top of the fridge and have a proper fridge freezer not just a fridge with a small freezer box. It's ok for driving around England where you can go into any supermarket but if like me and Nick, you're a fussy eater, then when travelling around Europe, we would want all our English stuff stocked up ie the smoked bacon not streaky bacon, MARMITE etc etc.
As a very happy owner of a brand new BoxDrive 600XL, I can only say how good these vans are. Would’ve liked the 680 for the longitudinal bed but with two kids, the 600XL suits much better.

Do enjoy the van tours , almost as much as the boats , what got you into doing motorhomes , see similarities to some smaller boats ,so maybe that's why
While fit and finish can vary, in the end, all van conversions are pretty much the same thanks to the extremely limited size. Interesting on this one how the van manufacturer switched the driver's side but couldn't be bothered to switch the sliding door to the other side... Thanks for the tour!
a lot of money for what is a very very basic van, the build quality will be good but basic storage, very basic bed, a 2 burner hob is not enough, if off grid that's one pan and a kettle thats not good enough for the money
Not sure who this is aimed at, that’s Burstner Lyseo territory as an example, which is a far less constricted feel as that van, and both are 7m. Very upright seats, can’t see those created a comfortable environment on an evening.
No oven makes it a big no for me. No freezer compartment in the fridge either, and no microwave. Shame as the rest of it looks quite nice. I can't help but feel to make space is taken up with the bed, and this has caused the kitchen to be sacrificed.
Oh my goodness anyone spending 90k on this definitely has more money than sense. If you are considering this please please do your homework most of all the other van conversations are by far so much better with spot on layouts, and more gear eg oven, microwave, bug screens bigger windows.

To me it is still a van and an expensive van at that. No cooker, microwave or fly screens on windows and vents. Good tour, as ever, Nick.
It does have fly screens. They're on the opposite side of the windows to the blinds, he just didn't pull them down. It's still expensive, agreed.
Considering it is a van based RV and that not innovative, it is outright shockingly expensive.

One of the few almost practical van conversions, only because it's so long. Now price it at £59k and it might be a sensible product.
Not the best but quite well done, especially the shower compartment. Decent fit and finish too.
