Great video. Most people think calcium is the only nutrient necessary for strong bones. But we need many more nutrients like magnesium, vit. D, collagen, etc.
Found this trying to find exercises to show my patient for osteoprosis. Leave it to a fellow naturopathic doctor to get it right when it comes to treating osteoporosis/osteopenia : ) Very well done!
About 5 years my ortho physician gave a lot of calcium supplements only but I developed osteoporosis. I stopped taking calcium as I became worried in case there will be calcium sediments in my kidney. I started taking D3, Magnesium, Omega -3 but because I was not adding K2, my bone was not getting any better. Recently I found D3+K2 tablet and together I took magnesium and Omega-3 plus vitamin B and within one month I see the difference in my bone, My nails used to have layers and easily breakable but now no more layers. Thanks for your info on pH testing, I may need to look for the test kit as it may not be available in my country. I feel my body is acidic.
Wendy Hla can you post which supplements you are taking? I have osteopenia in my wrists and very brittle nails and have been trying to figure out the best vitamins to take to increase bone density in that area
kaliflower I used to take Calcium, D3 (5000 IU) and magnesium (400mg) a day but my bones were not getting any better. As I mentioned earlier, now I stopped taking calcium and D3 itself and started taking Magnesium, (400 mg), Omega-3, combined D3+K2 (1000 IU or 25 ug and 200 ug respectively), produced by ATISAV, Portugal, and B1,B2,B6,B12 and folic acid. Recently, I stopped taking D3+K2 because I ran out of it and after 2 weeks my nails became layered and brittle again. So, after three weeks of retaking, now my nails are almost back to normal.
Wendy Hla what exactly was the difference you mentioned after a month. I have advanced osteoparosis, had many fractures, am bedridden and trying to heal. Any help appreciated.
I’m really feeling weird in my wrists right now, from working so much. I feel like if I fall I will break my wrists for sure..so Seriously Thank you so much for taking your time to make this video..
I had the same feelings in my wrists too (and other joints as well) . Always, I had to put an ace bandages around my wrists to help with the pain. Well, once I was diagnosed by my medical doctor (and a blood test) with severe Vitamin D3 deficiency and was prescribed to start taking 15,000 IU's of Vitamin D3 daily. All those joint, bone and back pains went away COMPLETELY! I haven't had those pains at all for several years now. I still take the 15,000 IU's of Vitamin D3 daily, along with (1) Vitamin K2/MK-7 90 mcg daily.
Thanks for sharing how to build healthy bones. Can you share how to build bones through natural diet via food intake instead of popping vitamin pills please.
Great video, great tips on building bone density. Absorption is key to rebuilding bone mass. Vitamins such as D3 and K2 are great source for building bone mass. Inulin is a great addition to absorb vitamins and minerals
Beta Cryptoxanthin is in a lot of colorful fruits and vegetables. You don't have to buy that supplement she mentions. In fact, she could have stopped the video after saying to add dark, leafy green vegetables to help with trace minerals and mandarin oranges to help with absorption. She's right though, these minerals needs to be there and they need to have the right environment.
thank you so much for your information. This is SO much better than the Fosamax the doctor called in for me today. I asked if it had side effects and they said no. But when I looked it up online it has literally destroyed people's lives. I wish we had a naturapathy doctor in our area.
I ordered this product today and will try it for several months and have another DEXA scan. I am 59, no health issues, have always been a regular exerciser, lift weights, I take a good quality omega supplement, good quality magnesium, 10,000 D3 with K every day, and a host of other supplements… Yet my DEXA scan this year showed that I have osteopenia in my left hip. My chiropractor was quite surprised as I am in good shape and I take quality supplements. My inflammation marker CRP level is almost 0. So not quite sure what is going on? Will post in about five or six months what my results are of my scan. Hopeful
You should discuss balance because balance is crucial to falling it’s not just bones. I looked up the Japanese medication that you recommended and it’s got 1000 units of calcium in it. How could you recommend that? It’s all over the Internet that calcium can create deposits in your arteries and give you a heart attack.
Great information! Thank you so much. I started my health journey almost a year ago and am greatly satisfied with the changes. I feel better, I rarely get sick, my asthma/breathing has improved. Cravings for sweets have become less. Im looking forward to continuing my healthy lifestyle. 😊
Peter Brooks it actually depends on the form of copper. And again a trace minerals supplement has the other key minerals in their most absorption enhancing form that help the body build bones. What type of Magnesium? There are SO many and not all are right for bone health/absorption. I've done SO much research and still cannot find a brand that's not full of fillers and has the best absorption and is right for bone health. Currently taking D3 + K2 (MK7), But now I'm seeing that MK4 is better? It's all a bit overwhelming. I've also started a bone specific Collagen from Native Path. Next bone scan is in Oct.

My ND said to take one 600 mg supplement of Calcium, then get the other 600 mg through Calcium suggested through rich foods, that is safest against calcium deposits in arteries or kidney issues, sardines, Kale, dairy and go natural.
Thank you so much!!! My Bone Density tests are always showing me I’m not doing well. I have osteopenia and it’s getting worse. Even though I’m eating healthy & walking a couple miles a day. Your video is very helpful!!!! 💜😊🦋🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Good information. Presentation is far too wordy. Consider your audience. Most persons are not going to comprehend what you are saying in the manner you are presenting. Suggest you make clear points 1,2,3 of what to do how to do and what to use and where to get it. Try for clarity and calmness. Remember you are not speaking primarily to a medical group but mainly to elderly persons who need info delivered as I have described. Calmly and slowly deliver this valuable info. You are not a cheerleader nor an auctioneer. Spending some time perhaps making an outline and a practice delivery prior to turning on the camera will go a long way in helping people with bone loss issues.
GC Durnin English is my second language and I have zero problems understanding her. One suggestion I would give to people is, turning on CC so they can also read what she is saying.
Hi, I’m 60 years old, I’ve been diagnosed with RA since 2014. I take Hydroxychloroquine & Sulfasalazine. I’ve now been diagnosed with osteoporosis in my left hip joint. I take K2D3, Omega 3 supplements, would you still recommend the Juveriente supplement?
I am 60 years old too. And I was diagnosed with RA around the same timeframe too. Recently, I was just about to turn 60 years old and I started having AWFUL left knee and right hip pains. I couldn't sleep, walk, sit or stand for long periods of time. I was about to make an appointment with a doctor and went online to do some research about these particular pains. The supplement Boron kept popping up. Well, I rushed out to buy it - yes, that desperate. I took the Boron and several hours later about 90 percent of the pains were GONE. The following day, the pains were 100 percent COMPLETELY gone! I now take (1) Boron 3mg daily without fail. I, personally, take 15,000 IU's of Vitamin D3 daily, (1) Vitamin K2/MK-7 90 mcg daily, (1) Magnesium Malate 425 mg X 2 times daily, (1) Vitamin C 1000 mg and (1) Boron 3 mg daily. I hope this information helps you in YOUR journey to good health. 😊💖
Both mineral drops and pills can be effective, but it depends on your individual needs and preferences. Some people find it easier to take pills, while others prefer drops. The most important thing is to ensure you're getting the right amount of essential minerals for bone health.
Great information! Could have been given in a more succinct manner - seemed like you said the same thing in several different ways. Overall, great info ~ thanks!
Also if you are low on progesterone and testosterone....man or woman....all the supplements in the world will not help you build strong bones. Now if you have adequate levels of testosterone and Progesterone...then you will have a good chance to improve bone density...many perimenopausal and menopausal women do not have enough testosterone and Progesterone and can't prevent osteoporosis from happening.
What should a person who has really serious Latex cross-reactive food allergies.? I am sooo drained from trying to figure out how to get my nutrition right since this latex allergy has gone full blown systemic.
I went through breast cancer years ago and have been recently put on a medication to prevent production of estrogen, which is the 3rd one, Exemestane and I read it can cause osteoporosis, I was told recently after bone density test that I already have osteopenia. Now I'm taking prescription D2 and 70 mg of Alendronate. So I'm not sure what to do. My pharmacist said not to take otc vitamin d.
Can you please help how to enhance bone density and Bone marrow naturally by consuming fruits and vegetables tablet s leads to kidney stones And other side effects But it increased body weight B vitamin s really helped but gas problem .so But doctors told to take B vitamins naturally through friuts vegetables and nuts I don't know what to take for d 3 and vitamin e For vegetrain can you please help and give guidance
Thank you for your question! When it comes to increasing omegas in your diet, it's important to focus on omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in fatty fish like salmon, as well as flaxseeds, chia seeds, and walnuts. You can also consider taking a high-quality omega-3 supplement. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
Thank you dr for this information. I was looking to buy some K2 but after reading up on it I had second thoughts. Most instructions said only to be taken if you are healthy, what are your thoughts?
She talks too much and is out to sell her supplement..She doesn't give much information about how to boost bone density naturally and goes on and on about why of it..The information she gives is nothing new
Tablet are very hard to absorb and rarely come from plant base sources, which is essential in implementing many of the potential benefits of this nutrient group.

What would you suggest for someone who is 25, just diagnosed with osteoperosis, and is being told that I have 4 years left to strengthen my bones? I suffer from an eating disorder, but am confident in recovering, and my doctors want to give me hormone therapy. I don't want it. Would you suggest anything specific?
LET FOOD BE YOUR MEDICINE & MEDICINE BE YOUR FOOD! Eat right, not wrong, so your body can repair itself. Take your hurts and emotional issues to God & cry them out on His shoulders. When offered hormone therapy years ago just b\c I had entered menopause at age 42 I firmly said no b\c I believed there had to be something safer for my body. Some years later I was pursued strongly by a specialist to take a Bone Density Test, so I did & was given a scar tactic report & rx for Fosomax to take the rest of my life. After reading the side effects of the drug I threw it in the trash. I rather take a chance with weak bones than snappy bones that breaks easily with the slightest fall. I always research & weigh out the consequences of what docs wants to do to my body b\c I am the one who will have to live with the results of the medicine & its side effects. Since those days, I have found quite a few supplements that can help strengthen our bones and regenerate damaged bones, tissues, muscles, etc. Of course, clean food is best!!!
@@dianneanderson731 Amen! Cast all of our cares upon The MOST High, I was diagnosed with osteopenia as well, cld you share some of the supplement that you use, thank you, and God bless.
Hi! I have recently developed osteoporosis after several years of struggling with anorexia. The last year or so I have made a lot of progress in recovery and gained some weight back. However I still have some way to go. Currently there is no period , my blood pressure is still very low and my bones and joints sensitive .My question is if you have any recommendations for a supplement for us in the EU? The one you linked on Amazon does not ship to my country.. Thank you for such an informative video! :)
Angelina hi! Welcome to my community! Am sooo happy you have made such awesome progress! Congrats to you. I know it’s hard work. So here are a few things to consider: adrenal stress support. Vitamin D levels (have you checked?) and minerals. Let me log on and get you specific EU links. Sometimes the manufacturers names are different
Thank you so much! It really is.. As far as vitamins and minerals goes I have not checked recently, but I live in the northern part of Sweden so I tend to be deficient in Vitamin D every fall/winter. We barely get any sunlight this time of year. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my comment. It means a lot! Would love to get some EU links :) Xx
Angelina, get a supplement that contains Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM, these three things help your bones and joints. Do some gentle physiotherapy for your joints. Take gentle walks. If you carry two small bags of shopping from the shops, that will count as a weight-bearing exercise as well as aerobic exercise. Green vegetables contain lots of calcium and magnesium, if you don't want to eat them you can juice them. If you buy a good-quality wide-chute juicer, you can juice fruit and veg. Save up and go on holiday to a sunny country twice a year, the body can store vitamin D. Stay in recovery and get strong. Best wishes.
Is there a PH.Product to take.. like how people--put in products,in their pools--to achieve the proper Ph. balance?? Is there a pill to take,to help get more alkinaline? I also--mostly eat--vegan. very little meat. hardly never.. I guess--I'd have to write to you..to get the answer.. Rebecca..Love your channel. just found it.. Its a answer to my Prayers... Thank U for sharing this information.
It's so fun to see this list! I feel like I've been on this path for better health, and have been doing ALL of the recommended above, but I had NO idea that it could include improving bone health. Thank you for the video and very informative, as always!
What??? Low acid is better??? I felt I was low in acid, my nails were weak, which is said to be from low protein digestion. And acids needed for bacteria elianation... So I'm confused.
My Dr saw something on my hip in bone scan, took me off my calcium and made me take Bonita. I felt horrible after one pill so I went back to calcium and D3. Needless to say I do not go to him anymore!
Research online about the vitamin supplement Boron. I had AWFUL right hip pain to were I couldn't sleep, walk, sit or stand for long periods of time. I came across Boron and how it could help. I rushed out and bought it - yes, that desperate. Within several hours of taking it 90 percent of the pain was GONE. The following day 100 percent of the pain was COMPLETELY gone! I've read you can take up to 9mg of Boron daily. I only need to take 3 mg of Boron daily. I now, personally, take 15,000 IU's of Vitamin D3 daily, (1) Vitamin K2/MK-7 90 mcg daily, (1) Magnesium Malate 425 mg X 2 times daily, (1) Vitamin C 1000 mg and (1) Boron 3 mg daily. I hope this information helps you in YOUR journey to good health. 😊💖
I was told that I can’t rebuild bone mass started menopause 28 I’m 50 and I’m vegetarian for 20 years took bone density test was told I have osteopenia
@Michelle Mather wow! I have osteoporosis at 50 and docs are telling me I’m crazy for not taking the prescription bone meds that have horrible side effects. I started on bio-identical hormones (post menopause). Would love to increase bone mass 14%.
I never took an osteoporosis med. Strength training, power walking wearing a weighted vest, elliptical machine and a a vibration platform. Bones strengthened over a 10 year time span. Last bdt showed only osteopenia. I eat healthy and take supplements. You can definitely increase your bone density.
Any Doctor Who recommends Fosamax for osteopenia, (which is actually a made up term to identify pre-osteoporosis) should lose his license. Only someone with extremely high T scores should be recommended those drugs. I personally would never take them as they are all poison to the body and every one of them say that once you stop them your bones will break, and they all have extreme side effects
New studies show that actually taking 'Fosomax' may cause bones to break more. www.futurity.org/bisphosphonates-atypical-femoral-fracture-1509822-2/ I went vegan/plant-based. And instead of a doctor - MD, I started seeing a Naturopath Doctor - ND. I feel much better.
I'm so glad I found you! My most recent Dexiscan showed I am T3. I don't like prescription medication and so glad you offer a different perspective. So glad to know that there are other things that can be done. I just hope it's not too late for me. I'm ordering the Juveeeriente TODAY! Thank you so much for sharing!!
@@marjn1030 I read in some lectures on health that calcium should come from food but taking D3 and K2 and Mg have better absorption. Anyway, I have been given bifosa and calcium additionally now that I have persistent back pain and taking these in addition to my supplements. I also have osteoporosis since years ago. The reason I stopped taking was my creatinine level was raised and so I was worried for my kidney than for my bones.
I'm the mother of a 10 year old who was recently diagnosed with Wagner's granuloma my child has endured chemotherapy high doses of rituximab as well as now is doing 3 days a week of dialysis the doctors are prescribing calcitriol and iron infusions while she's taking the chemotherapy as well as 3 days or the antibiotics Monday Wednesday and Friday do you have any advice for a desperate mother who wants to heal her child naturally. So sad :-( You should know that doctors don't heal anyone. HEALING only comes from God. Doctors tries to repair the body by guessing what will fix it. They never tells us that of course b\c they want us to have false confident in their knowledge & skills so they can continue to make lots & lots of money. I pray that the Lord Almighty will show you a better answer for your sweet child. Research, research, research &INFORM yourself and keep your child's health decisions in your hands, not the doctors. GREAT VIDEO!!!Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
The supplement you suggest has calcium. Many Drs have said no calcium.
💜😊🦋🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Check out Dr Sherri Betz- she's great for osteoporosis workouts. She also brings up that walking DOESN'T build bone. I know, I thought it did, too!!
Thank you for sharing! You're welcome
Boron for minerals
EXCELLENT! Boron is amazing!
I am quite sure this is possible with natural diet
would be really nice if you could share that and not the names of pills🙂
I do… have 700+ videos about diet etc but sometimes we need extra oomph and that comes in form of supplements.
have u heard of Win Hoff? can u talk about how to get to alkaline specifically? maybe your opinion on his breathing method results? please.
Are the mineral drops, pills equal in effective?
Both mineral drops and pills can be effective, but it depends on your individual needs and preferences. Some people find it easier to take pills, while others prefer drops. The most important thing is to ensure you're getting the right amount of essential minerals for bone health.
Where can I get this product?
Eileen Wolfe, Dr. Melissa has a link under the video. It's available on Amazon. :-)
Thank you. Great info💖
You're welcome!
I broke my wrist recently. Great info. Thanks!

Increase omegas: which omegas? This could be a little more precise.
Great, prompt, detailed reply about the omegas fatty acids. Thank you.( It would have been even better to hear this in the main talk.)
Dr. Mélissa your so convincing thank you thank you 🙏
You're welcome!
She talks too much 😂😂I love it - I can’t deal with taking big fat tablets. What Fruits an Vegs can we eat ??
@Mrssewhardtoplease I actually think she means well, she is just trying to help people in her own way
I became very disappointed after she started and continued promoting her supplement.
So what should the ph level be.

Interesting I thought meat was very anti-inflammatory. Is there a research or data that shows that meat causes inflammation
Does turmeric lower blood pressure? I have very low blood pressure.
Very informative. Thanks!
Sunny Girl thanks!! 👍🏻🌟
It's so fun to see this list! I feel like I've been on this path for better health, and have been doing ALL of the recommended above, but I had NO idea that it could include improving bone health. Thank you for the video and very informative, as always!
Jared andCorrine yay. Bravo to you. Great work!!! Bone health is everything as we age! 💗👍🏻👍🏻
What about exercise

What is the best diet for osteoporosis?
High in protein and fats , lots of exercise like walking , low carbs
@@undefeatedwins110 And NO processed foods and NO SUGAR.
What??? Low acid is better???
I felt I was low in acid, my nails were weak, which is said to be from low protein digestion.
And acids needed for bacteria elianation...
So I'm confused.
I think this is lovely. But I am on one wage and all these minerals are soooo expensive. Its just too much money for the average person:(
For absorption you need good stomach acid
Thank you for the input
Thanks for this one I definitely needed it. :-)
Great information!!
what if you have a bone erosion on your hip can it be reversed according to your explanation

I was told that I can’t rebuild bone mass started menopause 28 I’m 50 and I’m vegetarian for 20 years took bone density test was told I have osteopenia
Michelle Mather thank you for information
@Michelle Mather wow! I have osteoporosis at 50 and docs are telling me I’m crazy for not taking the prescription bone meds that have horrible side effects. I started on bio-identical hormones (post menopause). Would love to increase bone mass 14%.
@@Fs23999 Research about taking Vitamin D3, Magnesium and Boron for joint and bone issues.
I never took an osteoporosis med. Strength training, power walking wearing a weighted vest, elliptical machine and a a vibration platform. Bones strengthened over a 10 year time span. Last bdt showed only osteopenia. I eat healthy and take supplements. You can definitely increase your bone density.

Start taking D3 with K2 in an coconut oil, Amazon. Do fifty heel drops a day to help, up on toes, drop back down
Any Doctor Who recommends Fosamax for osteopenia, (which is actually a made up term to identify pre-osteoporosis) should lose his license. Only someone with extremely high T scores should be recommended those drugs. I personally would never take them as they are all poison to the body and every one of them say that once you stop them your bones will break, and they all have extreme side effects
New studies show that actually taking 'Fosomax' may cause bones to break more.

If we take D3 and K2 and magnesium do we still need to take calcium and if so how much?
Sage Moone do not take calcium, eat greens!
I used to take calcium but stopped taking and switched to taking Magnesium, D3+K2 tablets and I feel my nails are no longer brittle and layered.
@@wendyhla7097 why did you stop taking calcium.
@@wendyhla7097 is it better to take k2, magnesium and d3 and get the calcium through diet so the calcium supplement won't affect your kidney.
It would be nice if you mention absorption for those people with CKD what do you think, thanks.
My baby has also had seven different plasmapheresis appointments where 40% of the plasma was removed 60% 40% until the entire plasma was restructured to remove the Anka antibody. She hasn't reached puberty yet I just want to heal her in the most natural ways she's also on three different blood pressure medications as well as steroids every single day Capital help
ITMT, put your precious child name & condition on Facebook prayer groups. I have seen awesome things happen!!!
"natural medicine" is a misnomer. use medicine. trust your regular physician. putting your child's hands in "God" or naturopaths is neglect.
