And I mean this as a compliment. She is stunningly surreal. And her voice only adds to her otherworldliness. I hope to see her live. She has a new fan.
You should definitely go & see her perform live! On Sept. 16th, I saw her & her band perform at Pianos NYC & she sounded AMAZING! She's so incredibly talented! I'm not sure if you know this or not but her band, "I Blåme Coco" officially broke up so she's currently writing & recording songs under her birth name, "Eliot Sumner." You should order a few tickets online & take a couple of friends with you to see one of her live performances (at least while she's still here in the states if that's where you currently reside)! I think she only has a few more shows here. She's actually performing in Phili tonight (Sept. 18th). I believe you can still purchase tickets for that particular show online but it could sell out very, very soon. After all, her show in NYC was sold out! I only paid ten dollars to see her live which seemed unbelievably cheap to me, especially when I thought about immensely talented these musicians were and continue to be! She sounded even better live & I cannot wait to see her again! I also had an opportunity to meet her & her parents at the show the other night! Sting & Trudie were both there to support her. It was such an honor & pleasure to meet them all! I had such a good time!
Robbin Perry I am really shocked that she isn't so much more famous! She is the complete package. In many ways she, is the indie/artsy version of Taylor Swift. Both are talented, but Elliot is much less about image and much more about musicianship. Do you know why her band broke up? I thought they were really good based on all the clips I've seen on UA-cam. I've also seen most of her interviews. I realize that the interviewers are compelled to ask about her father, but enough already. It's not like she's 14 years old. If she needed her father, he would have produced her record. It puts her in a difficult spot. She can't be rude and dismissive, but she also needs to be firm that she is own her own.
