Thanks so much for this tour of one of my favourite artists and galleries here in Bath... would love to see another exhibition of your work locally too Kit.
Yes, I always make a point of visiting Nathan's exhibitions at Beaux Art. And it's great to share a video tour with a wider audience. Personally, I don't have any exhibitions planned in Bath, but I do now have my Bridport Contemporary Gallery in Bridport, Dorset, which is open Weds & Sat or by appointment. So you're very welcome to come and visit! @bridportcontemporary
The simplicity in his portraits and still life pieces through that slightly hesitant line... the barely suggested urban forms... the grit and dirt of the city... but always elevated by the human presence... and countered in mood by those zanny cartoons...
Beautiful art work. The faces were exceptional beautiful; I wish I could have seen them without fleeting away. Terrible video of beautiful work. LOVED the thudding in the floor!!!
The video is literally straight from my phone to UA-cam. I would have liked to have dwelled for longer on certain pieces, but there was a lot of work in the exhibition, and even this quick tour was almost 15 minutes... I'm hoping to go back for another look and perhaps make a longer video.
Hi Laurie, glad you enjoyed. I've been following Nathan for a number of years. He has an exhibition at Beaux Arts Bath every two years. I met him at his previous Private View. Highly accomplished, distinctive paintings with wonderful surface marks and humour.
Beautiful work! I'm currently in art school, looking for inspiration in other artists because I haven't figured out what expresses me the most yet and I'm thrilled to have found this artist and this video!
Nathan shows us that inspiration is all around us. For my own art the countryside landscape that I grew up in has been a huge influence. I imagine that's also true with Nathan, except, for him, it's likely been an urban upbringing, the grey sprawl of city life, roads, cars, and endles suburban streets...
@@kitglaisyer On the other hand, I do want to learn about using more greys, instead of every color in the box, and he's the master of select muted tones.
So exquisitely painted and drawn. Stunning work!
Very nice paintings. Some of them, very beautiful indeed.

Nathan Ford’s work is magic, the essence of imagination, simple beauty, and truth that seldom disappoints.

LOVE this! Fords work is so inspirational to me!
Such talent-brilliant! So refreshingly unique.
Well worth pausing on the close-ups to enjoy the detail and often minimal brushwork...
Thanks I enjoyed the tour of his works. Just found him today..Laurie NZ

This is most beautiful. Also going through the gallery.... Can I buy a painting? In fact I want to eat them.
Lovely paintings, eh? Yes, you can contact the gallery on +44 1225 464850 and see works online at www.beauxartsbath.co.uk/
@@kitglaisyer thank you.
Lot of masterpieces there I think. Beautiful. Bit depressing in tone for me, but brilliant.
Yes, there's a certainly a melancholy to his work. The cartoons help bring some humour!

Genial.....
This art invokes deep emotions in me, the emotion of anger that any gallery can take this crappy sketching seriously
