My family and I lived in London for three years before having to move back to Germany in 2019. I miss London so much every single day, and this video just brought me right back home again. Thank you so much!
It's been 10 years since leaving London and watching your walkabout around Soho brings back fond childhood memories. Didn't look as nice as now. Can't believe the Last Vegas arcades is still there in Soho. Used play there with friends way back 20+ years ago. Great vid 👌👍 helps us expats remember the good stuff of London.
Finally back, I think that I speak for many others when I say that we need these relaxing, educative videos from magnificent almost historical scenery of London. I appreciate the professional narrative approach, quite deep knowledge of places, historical facts, but never boring. Even more now when we can't travel, such videos are very appreciated, keep Inspi-vlogging, if that's a word(partially).
We now need Beans On Toast The Movie Part 2 more than ever.
Please please more, we miss your videos! It's been too long
Great video thank you. Bar Italia, used to go there years back. Brings back memories. Loving it.
Hi Barry, always enjoy touring the town with you. Can't wait to see the next installment of "cooking with Barry". I want to see your posh beans on toast!
Hi Barry, I just wanted to pop in with a suggestion for your vlog during these dark days of isolation. We LOVE your cooking vlogs. If you make a few cooking vlogs, we can still enjoy your great London vids without you risking your health to roam the town. You and Cloe' stay well. ~~Robin from a little island off VA USA.
how are you ... i love london and your videos even though i am in Italy they transport me with my mind there .. please Robert make new videos
Those sausage rolls are LEGIT!! Loretta at the till was wonderful. Definitely worth bookmarking the ginger pig before I arrived in London. Hands down best rolls in London
Hope you are keeping safe and well
OMG .. how i miss London !! Hope to get back there .. feels like you brought me there .. thank yoo so much !!
best time of the day for a good hot coffee ! Thanks Robert
Great video!!! It takes me back to the 70's and 80's when I used to walk all those streets and buy ingredients to cook for myself and friends. I am now much older with mobility probems so I can't do that anymore. It breaks my heart. However, nice to see you doing it and achieving what you want. Marcus Wareing's recipe for baked beans looks stupendous - I must try it sometime. Nice to learn about new shops in Soho - it was very different before but the Berwick Street Market was much stronger in those days. Anyway, enjoy your meal!!!
I lived and worked in London for 13 yrs, my favourite takeaway was M&S pork pie to eat in Green Park
with English mustard, then a cup of Rosy Lee in a polystyrene cup. It was pre decimal when tea cost
3 old pence per cup. In new decimal pence they still charged 3 pence effectively doubling the price
overnight.
oh thank god, when you said a grocers on Piccadilly, I thought 'I can only think of dear Fortnum's'! So glad it was. The Portuguese tart you had with your coffee looked gorgeous.
Looking forward to seeing the actual beans on toast, sounds like they'll be quite ritzy if they are MW based! Happy you avoided the storm, we didn't get it too badly here in Suffolk, but as we trundled down to do a spot of shopping in Lakeside on Saturday a.m it was scary! Always good to see a new vlog from you Mr R.
Wow. Barry. You sure know your way around London. Those bikes look very light weight. Vegan sausage rolls taste just like real ones, yours looks chrispy.. Excellent VBlog.. Looking forward to your next video.
I want one of them sausage rolls, they look amazing.
The view outside your window makes it look like you live in the middle of the countryside.
Thanks for another great video.
Brilliant video as always Barry. The sight of those sausage rolls had my mouth watering, they look amazing. Glad to see that you went to me favourite store again, Fortnum and Mason. BTW, I've just shared this video on the Ginger Pig Facebook page.
Heading back to London for a week next month, can't wait! Lots of great coffee shops in Soho! Bread Ahead is amazing too.
That is some of the most dramatic "breakfast quest" music i've heard... waiting for the orcs to leap out with broad swords. 😆 ❤️
Great vidéo Barry, always so nice to walk around London with you. You should try the Breakfast at the Wolseley cook book, it's great.
You must be fit as hell with all that walking to those out of the way places! I love your videos! Please put out more!!
REALLY (and expensive) fancy beans on toast ! Heinz does me and have for seventy years.
Where are you? We haven’t see you in a while. I moved last week to London for uni! I’m watching your videos again since I’m self isolating.
Look forward to Beans on Toast part 2, thanks for your efforts making this vlog, I left London 30 years ago, some good memories for me in your Videos. Liked and subscribed, cheers.
Thanks for the vid! Loved seeing all the cool places in London. Have not been since 1996! Hope everyone is staying safe!
Carnt believe you went in Fortnum and Mason and didn't buy a scotch egg .... or did you .. ;-) ... I make a point of buying a few every time I'm down the Smoke ... that butcher you visited, I'll be adding that to the list ........ Y.B.Y
Wow sausage roll look delicious 😋
Been here waiting for this beans on toast... Need this next video mate!
Great vlog as usual

Looking forward to this it's been a while hope you are well Barry
Good morning! I really enjoyed this video. Hope you are doing well. I feel inspired to make my own coffee and beans on toast after watching this.. but mine won't be as fancy. :) Have a great day!
Please make more videos Barry. I always show your videos to my English classes.
Lol fancy beans on toast.. a day in the life of Mr Roberts London, boi that store you got your stuff from was way fancy.. looks like something I have seen in those old fashioned magazines in the 60s or 70s carpetted floors wow
God, I miss London. Was planning to go as usually but keeping out of traveling for now. Thank you for doing this 😊
I can almost smell this video, especially the walking through Chinatown bits. Can't wait to get back to London and walk these same streets again. Try the sausage rolls at Fortnum & Mason. They're quite good as well.
I've never seen Boris Bikes and how they're used. Was interested in how you can zip around on those velocipedes.
I was going back to London this year but this whole corona thing has me thinking twice about it so I may not make it to London - but at least I can watch Barry's videos to fill my London fix :)
Very nice video

Lovely part of town, so many good places in and around there, you can get a good burger in Byron opposite the bakers and the Sam Smith's pub, the Red Lion on Kingly Street is great too

Hi from sunny Greece....loved the video ...had a planned school trip to London in April with the private school where I work...has been postponed from Greek government...☹️ because of virus in Europe.... everything was booked... flights...hotel... theatre's....now we are on standby when we will be allowed...🤷
You are leaving me in suspense about the beans on toast .... will there be a part 2 coming?

Them sausage rolls are sick use ginger pig W12, askew road 👍🏻☀️
River injoy your good shoes
Robert, have you thought about doing a video about commuting around London on a bike? I live in the US and when I am in London I am always shocked to see people riding their bike in London traffic. Is it common for Londoners to ride their bike in traffic? BTW, love your videos! They are so inspiring to me. Cannot wait to get back there in June!!!
Oh I walked so many times along the same roads Robert, albeit a few years ago. I know every corner, every street, every shop there.
Love your videos! You should also head to Liverpool Street Market - they have the best Swiss, Austrian and German bread, buns, cakes! Mmmmm!
Where is part 2? I am missing your videos mate. It's been 5 months! hope your okay.

Just saw the Australian inspired breakfast..... have you had a lamington yet
I'm in London this Friday Robert can we do a pub crawl. 😃🍻🍺
Thanks for getting me through in these tough times PS I'm not the famous rod
Great vlog. Though I do find it a bit odd that this bakery opens at 09h30. What madness is this?
You prefer "Boris bikes" over competitors?
How are things going in London with the challenges we are all facing?
Las Vegas strip. Ghost town. But all for our benefit👍😁
06:50 crumbs and doilies...kingly court!!.....best cupcakes in london!
Beans on toast has never been made to look more exciting, but what happened to the Cannondale Bad Boy..
Hi pal how come you are not posting new video blogs
Hope you are ok matey I miss your fantastic content 👍👍👍

Top man 👨

No offense but since you started using the acceleration mode i find your videos dizzy...i always loved them
There is a nutritional supplement called L-Theanine. It is the neurotransmitter that makes you feel focused and sharp when you drink coffee. The only thing you can eat that has L-Theanine in it is green tea, But you can buy supplements at whole foods. Really a good combination to take a supplement and have a cup. You will not lose focus and you will feel less jittery if you supplement with L-Theanine.
good guy
Are we going to see Marcus Wareing on the next vid? I hear Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley was demoted to 1 Michelin Star...maybe he could use some publicity
Having a butchers, or going to an actual shop?
You missed a trick by not going a candle stick maker's too.
Ok I'm curious. Why beans on toast? I'm learning to make British food for my fiance.
miss your vidz
This now doesn't exist due to covid, reminds us how good life was.
Where’s he gone
I'll 'ave a butchers at your butchers. :-)
Santander on the bike
Where are you Robert??? We still waiting for new vlogging.. keep going 🎊🎉👌🙏🙏🙏🙏
Is your channel name supposed to be "Robert's London" with an apostrophe? Because at the moment, the way it is it makes no sense. Suggest you update it.
Hello, could you pls help me promote a memory card?
🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽👌👌🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Moxon street. Not Moxton
Talk about a clickbait title, you've gone to some of the best known and most hyped up shops in London but there are certainly better places in all 3 categories.
Bar Italia is one of London's most famous old coffee bars but they don't do the best coffee in the whole city by a long way. Ginger Pig is a very good small chain of butchers, but they pale in comparison to some of their competition at Borough Market and further afield at Smithfield, as well as next to many of the best farms who sell produce at the city's many weekly farmers markets. Lastly, like your video, Fortnum and Mason's and London's other best known department stores are aimed primarily at tourists and people who don't know any better.
getting dizzy with shaking camera
Your eyes are sad, as you have been crying, London is a Big city where you can feel alone
So sad robbery died of Covid-19 … prayers
I can't imagine why anyone would want to spend an absolute fortune essentially recreating a tin of baked beans, and the air miles, apart from the localised cycling? I could produce the ultimate cassoulet for a fraction of the price, not living in London helps. On the other hand I could buy a Halford's gridiron bike for £200 yet I spend thousands on the ultimate machines. Whatever floats your boat I guess... beans or bikes.
You have no idea how popular and educational your videos are over here in the States. Seeing London through your eyes is truly amazing. Please keep up your awesome work.
true! love your vids and yes, from the states!
Yes and his distant transatlantic cousin has started making videos of his own..ua-cam.com/video/XBwVy3-g4KM/v-deo.html
Here here , A fellow countryman of the States .
I’m fascinated with London(though I’ve never been there , Yet !)
But one fine day (at least a week), I shall finally walk those streets in person .
