180 for a knife... not expensive... #JustKnifeGuyThings
I agree 100%, after I cleaned mine, it runs like a dream.
Thanks Bryan.
They are going to sell the heck out of this knife!
Nice, normally a lot of Isham designs are a little too crazy for me to want to EDC, looks like I could actually sharpen that blade. I’m glad to see the more practical designs. I’m 100% with you on the review
No pinwheel pivot , lanyard hole or extra holes on the show side for left hand carry , and an interesting design ? winner winner chicken dinner .
Thank you for a nice review!
Sliceman- I like this knife a lot. No pinwheel pivot and Isham at his most practical.
DETENT FIXED
Been having the same problem as everyone else and been toying around with every trick i know. Strangely, even though the blade feels nice and secure with the pivot snugged - as a last resort i cranked down the pivot with two full size screw drivers.... detent is money! Whole new knife!
This is one that has been on my radar for a while. I didn’t even know this was an Isham design. The style and shape of that blade is my absolute favorite for daily use. The overall design is a little out there but I love that blade for a working blade. Mostly because they are super quick and straightforward to touch up. I’ll normally touch up my work knives at work when they start to get a little dull I just pull a stone out of my toolbox and hit it really quick and move on with the day. Sweet knife. If I would buy any of the Isham designs, it would be this one without a doubt. Very practical for an Isham.
Nice knife. I really like the design. Looks like kizer gets yet another spot on my wish list.
Nice review!!! Thanks for sharing..
Hell of a deal now a year later. You can get them brand new on eBay for around $100 or white mountain knives has them bogo at 180. Not bad at all
Good review!
I really like it. very smooth and comfortable carry.
Blade is a good line cutter like the Myerchin Captain without a marlin spike.⚓
I dig it
Very cool review, I’m going to buy a Theta now. I was shocked to see my Envy in the middle of this video lol. Thank you very much. We do have about 17pc left on the Tuya Envy. It was only 120pc total. 100 numbered 1st production. 10 left hand carry clip, and the 10 gray like yours. Again, I am going to buy a theta and I just realized how well you articulate all things about a knife ! Great job and I will have to start watching more of your reviews. Take care 👊🏼⚔️
Thanks, mate! Enjoy!
Yeah when I saw the Envy I was like WAIT, what's that! Very much liking that design. Fullers!
Great Review, I agreed with everything you said, although mine didn't have an excess of oil.the pivot is now loose after a week of carry so I may do a disassembly vid on this one. If I do, I plan to link to your review if you don't mind. Thanks for the content!
Link away!
Good looking knife. Good EDC size and weight for me but looks like a finger guillotine too. Probably will get it anyway because it's so pretty.
It's dropped on me once or twice but it hits my thumbnail and not my skin.
It's funny you say how it came oily. My mini sheep dog came soaked. It pissed me off I emailed them and everything.
How is it behind the edge compared to your kershaw knockout? Noticeably thicker, about the same? The knockout is as thick behind the edge as I'm willing to go.
Hello; Can Kizer be used as a chef's knife? Example: like Spyderco spydichef
Curious if you still like this knife 3 years later
Good looks like one of his best practical designs i mean try sharpening an eshcaton
Megatherium wasn't really my thing. This has isham on my radar though!
My hands don't sweat either. Instead they get super dry and it's like I'm grabbing stuff with sandpaper. So yah I'd have the same grip problem as you.
on sale @ ladeHQ for $139... I snagged one (11-29-18)
Yeah Kizer bearings don't feel hydraulic like some cheaper bearing knives.
Would you recommend this or the Mini Therium?
Minitherium
How does your hands not sweating make things slippery in your hand?
There is nothing there to grip anything. Just slick dry skin. Trust me.
I can attest to that phenomenon.
@@SliceyDicey I feel ya, my hands don't sweat and were never oily, so it's like trying to grab stuff with sandpaper
for the same price ZT450 or Kizer theta
Cool looking and same time practical knife. And I like Kizer but you justifying it`s weak detent. Still awesome blade though.
I don’t think it’s justifying. It works well once it’s cleaned out. Not everything design will work with a finger tip bruising detent.
Err... Need to send mine back for an exchange. Too much lock stick and blade movement in the closed position.
We had drop-shuttie, suck-back, and now...EYEHOLE. I can be such an eyehole sometimes.
It is spelled I-Hole.
boooo no pin wheel
When did tuya even become a thing?
there are thousands of cheap chinese/value.framelock flippers..
I feel like all these Chinese companies need is a USA rep.and people accept them as a
"good knife company"
Takes more than just a US rep. That helps, but Tuya makes great stuff!
