Tiki Oasis 2019 - Interview w/ filmmaker Jochen Hirschfeld

King Kukulele interviews photographer/filmmaker Jochen Hirschfeld about the production of the DVD OF TIKI and other projects. Jochen, a commercial film director from Munich, Germany started documenting the early Tiki Revival in 2004 and kept traveling around the globe for several years to capture many different angles on the subject. After many years in the editing room and frequent spells of procrastination the "The DVD OF TIKI - Vol. 1 Paradise Lost“ finally premiered at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood in 2012. A very special night that close friend King Kukulele also mc'ed. Since then Jochen happily managed to merge the two worlds he loves most into his film and photo projects: Cocktails, especially rum, and exotic adventures aka TIKI! (Side note: Rumors have it that he is Mr. Van Hagen)
