Duncan is doing so well with his reading. My dear friend was chief librarian at our main children's library. Every couple of months, she would bring a pile of books for my daughter who became an avid reader. I always loved the time spent reading bedtime stories. It's such a great bonding time. Luke looks so much like Christopher, while simultaneously looking like his brothers. Like Jacob very much resembles Jessica’s Dad, while Parker very much resembles The Ballinger side. Yet they all look alike. Genetics are wild.

I was worried about teaching my kids to read and write since I have dyslexia. I have control with many aspects of it. I know for instance that I always need to read instructions like manuals or recipes twice or more to get the full point. And I realized that I tend to switch letters or turn them in opposite direction when Im tired. So I learned work on reading and writing in the morning. Between 8 and 11. When my brain was at it's fullest capacity. It became harder when they started school and I went back to work part time. I would go to work at 8 after I dropped them at school would get off around noon in time to pick up my kindergarten kids my twins. Then I would help them with homework or working on reading or writing until the other kids off school at 3:00. Then we would pick up the other 3 kids have a snack then onto homework until I started dinner. And usually my brain would be spent. So for the 3 grade school kids would hold off on reading and writing homework until after dinner when their Dad could help them. I love books and reading. And if it something I love I can read and comprehend it easily. But stuff I don't like or don't enjoy I tend to need to read and re read it a few times to grasp it. Thankfully my husband fully understands my learning disability. And he is willing to help the kids with stuff when I knew my brain would and could mess it up. Unfortunately both my boys inherited dyslexia to. But it was good I understood the struggles they felt. And thankfully I knew my husband since we met in junior high school. So he saw my struggles first hand. No he didn't understand how it felt. Or how things looked threw my brain. But he saw how hard it was at the time. Thankfully I got me a good one. He was able to see he was attracted to me, but he also saw I wasn't just the dumb girl at school. That was the way a lot of classmates saw me. Keep plugging away with Jacob on practicing his reading and writing. It will only help him in the long run.

CHRISTOPHER,YOURE A GENIUS!!!! We eat tacos on a almost weekly basis and are forever grumbling about how they don't want to stay upright and not spill everywhere. And the couple of times I've looked taco holders quickly they all were way too expensive for what they are. Youve just found my son a job while he's watching the taco shells in the oven!!!!! Pure genius,no otherway to describe that Christopher,GENIUS!!!!

Personally, I love snakes and bugs but there are other things that I am extremely I comfortable with. So knowing that there are people who be sure to keep everyone happy and comfortable really makes me happy

I loved your Day in the Life w/FIVE KIDS!
It's amazing how you all function as one cohesive family when there are so many of you!
Jessica - The 'mum hacks' you have (such as keeping the masks in a tissue box for the car) are so inspiring.
Christopher - The 'cooking hacks' (such as dicing an onion, putting spinach in with the ground beef and cutting up the taco box to keep the shells upright) were so awesome.
Bailey - Did I see you catching a snake? How brave are you? Lovely piano playing too, by the way.
Jake - Fancy losing a tooth after having just gone to the orthodontist! Your French toast with strawberry glaze sounds amazing. I would love it if you could share the recipe with us all.
Parker - Good trampolining! I could totally see you at the olympics! What happens in your acting classes?
Duncan - You're so lucky to have your Dad read you such a classic like 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' and 'Prince Caspian'. Your time with your grandparents over Zoom(?) was so cute.
Luke - Good brushing of your mum's and your own hair! What a cool dude!
Thanks for the feel-good vlog, Ballinger Family!
    Kind regards,
    Lisa ☺️

Jessica.... to remove labels from jars, Mix Backing Soda and Olive oil, just enough to make a watery paste 🤷‍♀️ take off as much as u can of the label don’t stress... rub onto the jar, let sit for half hour then wipe of with a scratchy sponge, comes off completely 😊😊😊
