I work at the Miami location. I average 2000 cases a night. And my performance percentage is 130% its a fun and challenging job, cant be lazy. Have to have a competitive nature about you. You can make really good money. If you're just starting out. My advice is that you learn to build your pallets. Get familiar with the product and its size, will it support a heavier item, ect. Learn to just be able to drop and go without rearranging your pallet. Once you get accustom to stacking efficiently then your productivity and speed will increase. But stacking is the foundation of any great Selector. Good luck out there, and stay safe. Peace!

I do it in the freezer for Wal-Mart. My 3rd warehouse doing this and I have to say Wal-Mart is my #1 hands down. First time ever being in the freezer though so that took some getting used to. Even though you never really can get used to -10 to -25 degree temps🤣 it does beat up your body if you're not used to it and don't know the best lifting techniques to be able to pull at a fast pace. But once you get good, you're good. Still sore when you get off, especially during really heavy days but you learn to love it. Bc if you don't love it then you won't last🤣 a pretty low percentage of people we get actually do last though. Bc they can't handle the physicality of it mainly, but if they hit the freezer that usually impacts them more than the 10's of thousands of pounds of product we lift throughout the day.

Job itself isn't hard at all. Picking cases, driving a double jack, building pallets that's easy shit. The extreme difficulty is trying to complete a 300-400 piece store within 40 minutes and you have to go through 30+ different aisles. Not to mention you are constantly trying to drive past people who drive in the middle of the aisle, everything just slows you down and everyone is in your way. They should of made them aisles even more narrow. Glad I quit thats for damn sure 2 months there was long enough. Making Alot of money is great but not if you are required to sprint around for 11+ hours a day 5 days a week basically a souless husk whats the point in making all that money? And all of that is assuming you have a good jack, in which case you most likely don't unless you enjoy coming in 2+ hours early for the best equipment off the clock. Oh and don't forget you are encouraged to skip your 15 minutes for better numbers lmao 🤣.

Where's the guys screaming to get out of the middle, because other people are trying to get through? Also I didn't see anyone screaming at people to use their horn. Then there's the guy who is down on time telling everyone to move. Typical conversation might be telling the new guy, that you've been using the same pallet jack for 4 years so to kindly find a new one.
